This is more true than people want to think. Someone with no internal monologue is incapable of introspection and is reliant on external stimuli (entertainment, recreational drugs, etc…). They are also over-socialized because they can’t stand to be alone. If you take these things away from them they will go insane.

We all know people like this.

Man i stay talking to my alter ego/evil twin.

I tell him if shyt may be on and he runs through all the shyt that we have to be prepared for. And makes me re-think it.

Saved me a lot of trouble.

But there are alot Of mouthers breathers out there who think with they mouth and react with they feelings.

Id say only 30% are capable of introspection.

This is pretty fascinating takeway, that I hadn't though of in those exact terms. I used to think everyone was capable of depth and introspection, but a therapist assured me this was not the case.

But that means you are trying to escape your internal monologue not that you don't have one imo.

One thing that we are also forgetting is that this type of person is probably less likely to make use of an online forum like this.

breh WHAT :what: what if that person was born into a shytty situation and it's gonna take a couple of years for them to work themselves out of it once they become adults? Your logic completely ignores growth and the accumulation of knowledge as basic human techniques to change their situations around

stuff doesn't happen instantly like that
The reality is you can learn more with age, but what you’re capable of learning and retaining is one hundred percent determined by how smart your ancestors that came before you were.

There are 9 year old that are smarter than majority of adults, they were born with that potential, most of those adult will never be able to understand some of the things that 9 year old already understands.

Life is easier when you’re smart, an easy life makes it easier to become smarter. Life is hard when you’re dumb, and a hard life makes it harder to become less dumb.

It’s the “rich get richer” but with cognitive abilities.

This type of person usually has trouble reading lol, why would they be on an online forum.

Internet forums select for people that are at least decent at reading.

What if the opposite was true and the ones with internal dialogue are actually the NPCs?

Makes sense if you consider the nature of scripted responses/routines etc whereas being "empty minded" is the state pretty much all spiritual traditions aspire toward...
This, meditation is one thing people do to get rid of being stuck in your thoughts/stop thinking all the time.

Also many people do external monologues instead, I think it might be better than internal, but it makes you look like you're schizo or some shyt.
