Glad this Puffy thread came back around. I want to restart and end an earlier argument when @Razzay (puffy's daughter or something) said that they compared Puffy to Quincy Jones. For anyone that thinks that is a fair or even legit comparison, all you have to do is watch the documentary on Quincy Jones playing now on Netflix. It will finish this conversation once and for all. PUFFY ... GTFOH

I strongly encourage you to watch the first 20 minutes of the doc and decide yourself.

Puffy > Quincy Jones :mjlol::russ::mjtf::patrice::what::jbhmm::snoop::pachaha::bryan::childplease::shaq2::rudy::camby::stop::ban:

The disrespect was real towards bad boy.. isnt this around the time Napoleon from the Outlawz punked puffy by grabbing the mic from him and running him off stage during mtv rehearsals then turned around and spit in Shynes face?

The incident with the outlawz you talk about wasn't punking. It was something that led to the outlawz being blackballed for their own show. 00 wasn't 96. Bad Boy was ten times more powerful than the Outlaws at that time.

I was and still am a Bad Boy stan. I remember being in the 9th grade and being very disappointed with the Forever album. Listening to this and double Up years later, i appreciated them much more, especially Double Up. Forever just felt like too much filler.
I do remember the video premiere of PE #1 and how MTV was blowing it up

that mase album in June 99 was nostalgic for the The start of summer, puff dropping in August had a new Biggie joint that gave goose bumps, a lot of decent tracks but he didn’t put more to market his crew which could of helped if he released videos with gdep, shyne
