99% of rakims catalogue is him rhyming about how nice he is one the mic
do you listen to music or do you just skim through it? Ra got plenty of storytelling tracks and just drops knowledge in general. I think there's a much better argument that G Rap is better than Ra than Kane.

:smh: ra has one of the most diverse catalogs of any rapper. From I Ain't No Joke to Magogany to In the Ghetto to Know the Ledge to Casualties of War.

Besides Biggie, Ra may be one of the most versatile to ever do it.

Nas been surpassed Ra.. Just off creativity alone. Concept songs.

The Republik of Mancunia
all a matter of opinion

my opinion is....G Rap > Ra = BDK > Krs

still take any 4 of them over these BS homo rappers today

Ya know fam I omitted Krs from my original post cos he just owned it from 87-93 dude was in a league of his own, he pulled some shyt and was mad contradictory (like any good artist) but he was 100%...

in my humble opinion..

Hearing Rakim (and G RAP) for the first time blew my head it changed what I thought it was possible for an emcee to do on the mic
as dope as Kane is/was I never got that from him it was just really high level emceeing/outstanding presence....Ra and G rap was on some next shyt...IMO

i refuse to conform
I'm rated "R"...this is a warning, ya better void,
Poets are paranoid, DJ's D-stroyed,
Cuz I came back to attack others in spite-
Strike like lightnin', It's quite frightenin'!
But don't be afraid in the dark, in a park,
Not a scream or a cry, or a bark, more like a spark;
Ya tremble like a alcoholic, muscles tighten up,
What's that, lighten up! You see a sight but,
Suddenly you feel like your in a horror flick,
You grab yourheart then wish for tomorrow quick!
Music's the clue, when I come your warned,
Apocolypse Now, when I'm done, ya gone!
Haven't you ever heard of a MC-murderer?
This is the death penalty, and I'm servin' a
death wish, so come on, step to this

rakim was fire lyrically would rap circles around kane
