How are y'all always tryna quantify impact, like damn near every rapper ain't have some type of impact? Hell, ninjas are still quoting Ahmad. And he's barely a footnote.
You can say that Pusha/Clipse benefited from Neptunes, but Neptunes benefited as well. How come their formula didn't work for Most Wanted? And Kelis didn't even go gold. So the Clipse were a perfect match at the perfect time.
With that said, Jimmy isn't even in the stratosphere for anything.
You're getting emotional about a rapper you've never met but I'm "a hoe". You got it tough guy
You can admit that he doesn't have any but you still like him...that's perfectly fine![]()
Jada 46 Redman 42 but Pusha at 29? GTFOHa cac must have made this list
Fair enough. Well, he’s been around for 20+, lolI think it's misleading to say Push has been thriving for 20 years. Clipse as a group spent years in record label Hell, which wasn't necessarily their fault, but it was industry politics. The Re-Up Gang tapes kept fans fed in the interim. They had critical acclaim for both Lord Willin' and Hell Hath No Fury, but even the most die hard Clipse fans felt Til The Casket Drops was a step down. We all know Malice and Pusha went their separate ways after that. Push has dropped three critically acclaimed albums and two diss records. Great career overall, but when we look at Push, could you truly say this was one of the greatest runs in Hip Hop. I don't think so especially considering as dominant as The Neptunes were when Lord Willn' dropped, that album didn't really see The Clipse dominate. When Push got with Kanye, we didn't see it either. Again, we saw The Neptunes give #1 records to established artists and completely redefine a career like Snoop's. Didn't see them have that level of success of newer artists. We saw Kanye take Twista and Common and elevate both of them, but when it came to Push, we didn't see similar results.

Dunno why
It's not really misleading when "Grindin'" was 20 years ago and his latest album hit #1 on Billboard.
And it's disingenuous to compare him to Twista/Com when both were rapping and building a fanbase 10 years before Clipse even came out.
And I'm saying all this as someone that doesn't think he's top 50.
