BEEFING WITH THE BIGGEST RAPPER
IN THE GAME THIS LATE IN HIS
CAREER NATURALLY GAVE HIM
MORE EXPOSURE THAN MOST
RAPPERS THAT OLD WILL EVER GET.

HE HAD HIS HIGHEST SELLING
ALBUM RIGHT AFTERWARDS
AND HAS KEPT SOME OF THE
RESIDUALS

I don't disagree with any of this but at the same time Drake didn't have to engage him.

Drake thought he was going in for the kill but inadvertently threw Push an alley-oop to prolong his career.

But if his next shyt sells somewhat decently then I can't really attribute that to "oh, he beefed with Drake".

We're coming up on the 5 year mark at that point.

Wayne took the bait with "Ghoulish" but it was so trash nobody cared from either fan base. :wow:

Drake really thought he ended his career with "Duppy" though. :heh:

Consistently making an impact" =/= "thriving". We aren't talking about the same thing.

Most rappers aren't getting a #1 20 years into their career no matter the circumstances.

And I'm kinda confused what you mean with Twista's career going threw the roof.

"Adrenaline Rush" went plat, "Kamikaze" went plat....he had one gold album after that then that's it.

Same with Com. "Be" sold the same as "Finding Forever".

So nah, I can't say Kanye took these cats to the next level. They had a brief pop in popularity associating with him, that's it. Same with Push and "Daytona", which had the biggest first week of his career. Which brings me to my next point....

He doesn't consistently have to make an impact yo be thriving.

Who said he needed a #1? Pusha never had a #1, so why would anyone expect that at this point in his career

Adrenaline Rush went platinum in 2019. This is 22 years after the fact. Kamikaze was Twista's first platinum album. Kanye took Twista's career to new heights. This is a known undisputable fact. Common's BE and Finding Forever are helmed by Kanye West.

I'm going to put this in a manner where you all can understand it. To say that Pusha T has been thriving for 20 years is laughable. Pusha got a lot of looks that most rappers could only dream of. Pusha T had a single featuring CHRIS BROWN in 2013 that flopped. He had a single featuring Kendrick Lamar. He had a song featuring Future. Another song featuring Dream. All of this while being singed to G.O.O.D Music distributed by Def Jam. Prior to this, he was on two songs on MBDTF, one of which was a hit single in "Runaway", which was another VMA appearance for him. He was on singles from Cruel Summer. All of this, and MNIMN didn't even strike gold. He isn't indy. He's on a major label. How exactly is this thriving? Had this been any other artist, ya'll would be screaming FLOP.

I’ve given you four to five opportunities to say that Protect Ya Neck is a real song, and you’ve been silent. Real song or not?

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I can't attribute Pusha latest album being a success to his beef with Drake. Thats a cop out imo. That shyt was 5 years ago. Literally. Lol. That ain't really fair to do. And Pusha been successful in spite of Ye at this point. Ye ain't been shyt for years now. Pusha wasn't even on Donda. This what I'm saying. nikkas taking the argument too far in both directions.

You can't figure out when an album from 1997 went plat based off RIAA.com man....what are you even talking about? :mjlol:

Certs are updated when a label pays for the RIAA to audit the album/single. It could be the same year, it could be 2-3 decades later.

Go look at how many certifications Wayne got September 22nd, 2022. You legit thought all that shyt magically went plat the same day? :mjlol:

And as far as your last sentence, I have no idea who you got me confused with but I've said the same thing about any legacy act (Nas most recently) selling in the same ball park ("KD3" doing around 30k). You cats type out boiler plate responses with no rhyme or reason as to who you're responding to.

I DONT CONSIDER CYPHER TRACKS SONGS REAL SONGS.

ANYBODY CAN DO THAT.
IT TAKES ZERO CREATIVITY.

ITS COOL TO HAVE 1 OF
THOSE TYPE OF TRACKS ON AN ALBUM BUT THATS AS FAR AS IT SHOULD GO.

The Twista/Com thing is especially hilarious because Pusha T actually has more certifications than either of them.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

MUSIC WITH A THEME, DIRECTION ETC.

PUSHA T IS DOING BRAGGADOCIOUS
BARS AND COKE RAP ON EVERY TRACK.

THESE ARE MIXTAPE TRACKS.

So all of your hate stems from the fact you have a made up system of what goes on a mixtape (like it’s not 2023) and what is a real song (commercial joint)?

Pusha… someone who has said openly he will NEVER make that song or ever stop rapping about coke, would be a top rapper, if he just did one?

But he has Kanye and Pharrell with him, but you don’t think he COULD just be handed a hit. He just can’t do it from a lack of skill?

nikka me and you could make a hit with them in our pocket and a Jay z feature. It’s obvious, like Griselda, he chooses to not go that route. It’s not like he’s trying and failing

This the closest I ever heard push even attempt it and it came out good. I think he could put 2-3 of these on every album if he wanted but he don’t want to
