my wisdom teeth crushed almost all of my molars because they were impacted (growing into my molars instead or up and out of my gums).

fukked my life up for about 5 years.

if you are told to get them out then get them out.
i was drinking whiskey and and removing my own teeth with pliers at one point in my life.

look for colleges or universities that have students perform the procedure for free.

How did people deal with this shyt before modern dentistry :wtf:

Like before modern dentistry must've sucked.

Even outside of wisdom teeth. Before fillings/root canals were available, cavities would get so painful that people would just have the tooth removed. With no anesthesia. If you were rich you might be able to afford a few shots of whiskey beforehand.

31, I still have 5...3 impacted. not getting them removed. the pain returns every few months.
Do you have an extra wisdom tooth? You're supposed to only have 4.

I second the person that said go to a dental school.
1 they're looking for patients
2 it will be a lot cheaper. (Not necessarily for free).

I got my wisdom teeth removed 2 summers ago. All at once. Only with local anesthetic--no insurance, and I was paying $1315, so I didn't want to add another $400 to be put to sleep.
I was 29, and it didn't hurt (when they were being pulled). I didn't take my hydrocodone, or whatever it was that they gave me. I think I got them pulled on Friday, and was back to work on Monday. I kept ice on my cheeks whenever I started feeling any pain.

Man, I have had dentists telling me to get my joints removed for 15 years.

They used to bother me once in a blue moon but I haven't had pain for several years. Maybe next year I'll get it done. Just don't feel like dealing with it.

I'm not over 25 but my wisdom tooth was killing me last year. First it was impacted, then I noticed it had a cavity, then I broke it, then it got infected. I was so miserable. I used to cry myself to sleep at night. I was so happy when I got it pulled. I went straight to sleep when I got home. :mjlol:

I have an extra.

My sister had an extra one that was all up near her sinus cavity. :why:

She got them out when she was like 19...was still unpleasant and she was out of commission for a minute, but probably better for her to have had it done at that age then later. My didn't bother me at all until I was deep into my 20s so I pretty much ignored them. :smh:

If it gets bad enough that you bare witness to true tooth pain, you wont be scared of no surgery:mjcry:

I ended up going to the dentist in the hood where no appointment is necessary:pachaha:...he just pulled that shyt out and gave me some gauze,I couldn't eat solids for about a week....My sister said she thought they should've did some kindve a xray first in case there was an infection, but they just pulled it and everything was fine breh:manny:

I don't know if the dentist I used came out of school as the best of the best, but he gets a lot of practice, and I thought did a good job and it was less painful then some cleanings I've had....Either it just isn't that painful of a procedure,or that tooth pain I suffered made me stronger:mjcry:

Made an appointment with my dentist to discuss my wisdom teeth, and I just know he's gonna give me the :francis:

Dentists have been telling me to get my wisdom teeth removed since my late teens but I pretty much gave them the :camby: becuase they weren't bothering me

In my mid-20s, they started bothering me a little but it was mild so I still gave the :camby:

Now (30) I'm pretty sure my shyt is infected/going bad and caused a cavity on the adjacent tooth, and I'm going to have to end up getting at least some removed anyway. :smh:

Any 25+ people have experience with getting your wisdom teeth out? Was it bad? Have to take a lot of time off?

get it over with, you'll be ok after 3-4 days

just get your netflicks tuned up and ready to go
