he got one against the Joe Webb led Vikings last year, but more importantly he hasn't even been past the divisional round outside of the SB year.

Falcons were 2 fluky turnovers and bum ass Harry Douglas losing track of the ball in midair away from being in the SB last year, and this was with the defense giving up 28 in the 2nd half.

I like where we are with him we just need some help in the trenches. All the elite QBs except Rodgers have had exceptional help there during their careers for the most part.

The Arizona game in the 2009 playoffs was just pure fukkery all around. Face mask wasn't called on Rodgers sack fumble that ended the game. The defenses couldn't stop anything.

But in 2010 we saw a great defense down the stretch that got pressure and turnovers and that was just the 2nd year Rodgers was in the playoffs and we go 4-0

2011 vs. NYG the defense once again regressed. Last year at SF I believe the in game adjustments weren't made and turnover battle was lost + drops.

Bottom line is, Rodgers can get us to the postseason but he can't win games without Atleast an average defense. I think he will win another SB before he retires... If TT can just get a couple playmakers on D. Losing Nick Collins was huge and BJ Raji was moved around from his NT spot. And Charles Woodson got old from his Defensive MVP year by 2011-12

I dont base good QB play on single games. I can however correlate consisting winning teams to QB play. Teams that make the playoffs consistently all have good QB's.

If anyone's obsessed with QB's its you. You're in every thread telling everyone how much they dont matter.
lol at this faggit

no one pulled your tongue to compare elis runs to peytons reg season runs.

I asked you what the fukk did eli do in 07 and received no real answer from you, besides slander (when I didnt say anything here that I havent said before in other threads) and trying to switch the subject

eli run in 07 is NOTHING like peyton in regular season, besides the fact that the team they were on won.

This is for the Andy Dalton's, Matt stafford, Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler, to a lesser extent Tony Romo. The only problem with this article is Eli Manning is in that same class of QB's imo and he has two rings. Joe Flacco has a ring as well

I'd say Roethlisberger is in that same group and that means 7 out of the last 15 Super Bowl winning QBs are at best only "above average to good" QBs (Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Big Ben twice, Eli twice, and Flacco) with 2 of them (Dilfer and Brad Johnson) straight up game managers.

But overall I do agree with the OP's point, these QBs had great teams, or at the very least, teams that got hot at the right time. But it's not like teams choose to stay mediocre, there is no way to predict who is gona turn out to be a true franchise QB or who's gona be a bust, Ryan Leaf was supposed to be a sure thing, while Brady may have never even gotten a chance to start if Drew Bledsoe didn't get hurt.

@yseJ was talking about this.

Throwing a bunch of money at decent/average QBs and crippling your team is how you end up in QB purgatory. Can't wait to see the dumb contracts this year.

I think the fact that Alex Smith put up 40 point in a playoff game where his best offensive player got injured shows you how geared towards offense this league is

Bets you can hope for a is bend but dotn break defense,no tem is gonna go 2000 ravens anymore and hold their playoff opponents close to single digits each game

Eli, Ben and Joe all seem to elevate their game in the playoffs. That seems to be the common thread. Now Johnson and Dilfer just avoided mistakes, make one or two good throws, and stayed out of the way of their running game and defense.

Alex in the 1st half played a level I have never seen from him before then. He was elite for a half then went back to being Alex Smith but still solid but in the 1st half, he was amazing.

He also played great against the Saints in the playoffs two years ago

He played very well, not great. This game, I thought I was watching Elway or something. He looked like a HOF in the 1st half. He singled handledly dominated the game.

threw for 300 yds 3 td no picks against the Saints thats pretty damn good for a playoff game
