I find it funny you guys discredit Eli and Flacco roles in there teams winning titles

You can put Matt Ryan, Tony Romo, Phil Rivers, Alex Smith on those teams and there not- winning jack shyt
discredit ? :wtf:
they be getting ALL the credit, while raheem moore and giants D beasting in offs get little to no credit

The Giants defense got a ton of credit. Just Tuck is one of the most recognizable athletes in the city.

Year to year regular season success is more correlated with productive offenses(productive QB's) than defense is. But its very tough to win in the post season if the defense does not play well.

Hence why the Giants dont make the playoffs every season. Inconsistent QB play. The years they won Eli turned into regular season Peyton and the D played lights out.

I think we all know QB's like Eli, Flacco, Cuter, Stafford are all capable of getting "hot" at the right time. And we also know theyll always be inconsistent. Those guys just need all the stars to align , while Rodgers, Brady etc can make up for deficiencies.

schaub went from good to shyt not because of teams ability around him.

Yea...but you can say that about many QBs who have down years. Eli was poop all on his own.

Even breaking the bank for an elite qb don't guarantee success....Rodgers won the chip and ain't won a playoff game since.
he got one against the Joe Webb led Vikings last year, but more importantly he hasn't even been past the divisional round outside of the SB year.

Falcons were 2 fluky turnovers and bum ass Harry Douglas losing track of the ball in midair away from being in the SB last year, and this was with the defense giving up 28 in the 2nd half.

I like where we are with him we just need some help in the trenches. All the elite QBs except Rodgers have had exceptional help there during their careers for the most part.

He played damn well in the playoffs. The Giants won a WC- they werent a great football team and Eli didnt have a great year. The stars aligned in the playoffs and Eli got hot.

You're bizarre theory that centers and QB's are equal in value- no one takes seriously.

The Bucs game was a joke...that team was horrible. Cowboys game- he was good. Packer game he balled(temps were below zero) and he obviously played well in the SB.

The stars can align for guys that make all of the throws. The stars are never aligning for bad QB's. You change your opinions every thread anyways so its tough to keep up.

Did you Watch the games?

Dallas had the ball for the entire 2nd Qtr, 11 Minute Drive for a TD, Eli went down the field in 40 Seconds for a TD. Hell Dallas controlled that Entire game, When the Giants had the ball they scored TD's

Eli played as well as any QB could play in the Conditions in GB that night

The 4th Qtr in the SB speaks for it's self

I think the point is, people keep acting like Eli was putting up video game numbers in the playoffs when he really just played well enough to not get in the way of the defense. At least in 07.

Now in the 11 run he played alot better but was still aided by the fact that the defense hadn't allowed anybody over 20 points.

Nobody really does though...Strahan and Tuck are gods in NY

People need to get over the concept of having some surefire elite QB such as Brady/manning/Rodgers etc, there isn't going to be 32 of those, there won't even be 32 Matt Ryan's, QB purgatory isn't that bad if you effectively build a team around that QB, on both side of the ball, and pair it with quality coaching. As long as you don't have a turnover machine or tony romo, you're competitive.

I agree as long as you don't pay them 100 million dollar contracts, that's where the problem comes in. These Purgatory QBs should be closer to 50 million than 100 million.

So Did Tom Brady and Joe Montana for there 1st SB Wins but they made the throws when they had too but no body is discrediting them.

And in 11, you can put any QB behind Center and take that ass whooping against SF and play the way Eli did & that includes the Special Teams Assist.

Don't know about that one. Eli made some good throws in that game (he had some almost picks though)... A lot of QBs would have crumbled at the sight of the pass rush. The one thing I'll give Eli credit for is his lack of fear. Dude will stand in the pocket and try to make a play no matter how much pressure's in his face. Problem is he can be a lil too fearless. But I'd rather that than a puss.

It's not a QB VS QB game but you don't win (95% of the time) without elite QB play. Defense and elite QB'S win rings. My SB pick this year is coming from three NFC because of the defenses, shyt it's Either gonna be SF, Seahawks or Car and the only elite QB I see from those three will be Cam but none of the three are "purgatory", shyt out of three teams left Rivers is the only onrush who would fit that category IMO

Elite is a strong word, how did Flacco and 27 int eli win then?
