Quake vs Unreal Tournament: what was the best OG FPS MP?

Unreal Tournament 2003 is the most skill related FPS we'll ever see in our life times... companies scared to go down that road now, cause the casual FPS players on console cant keep up

thats cool... at least we got to experience it..

UT99 was the most popular installment I think

Quake 3 had a good run to... dont think its fukkin with Unreal Tournament series though but I have no issue putting it #2 on GOAT FPS series..

Its unreal Tournament, then Quake... then everything else its funny how no other games are even CLOSE to these games in the skill department.. I mean not even in the same fukkin city let alone league let alone ball park

Tough call but I give the slight edge to UT99 based off Facing Worlds...easily the GOAT FPS map...

Only other FPS map fukking with it is the original de_dust from Counter-Strike...

i was speaking more of the 2000-2010 period. of course these days it's based off the ue3 engine. but before the new engine it wasn't that great. and lol at what it was built off of. the ue4 engine was built from scratch.

What the hell are you talking about? So GOW, Batman, Bioshock, are not good games. And you still continue to avoid my question about what games are using quake engine today. Why are you mentioning UE4? No game has released with it yet.

let me rephrase what i meant i guess, no game uses the original quake engine today, because it's old as fukk, but many of the features first implemented in the quake engine are still used in every decent engine these days (stuff like antilag)


and frankly i've just never been a fan of the ue engine. gow sucks, bioshock was pretty but what exactly was necessary from the ue engine for this game? batman? meh.

twitch fps needs to make a come back in general, fukk all these p*ssy ass fps's. UT2k4 was the last real multiplayer shooter and even that was nothing compared the GOAT UT2k3.... god i miss those days
