yea no shyt, and with a trash ass delivery and flow you aren't going to be marketable. My original post was really about people saying they wanted a full album from Quentin, you just extracted what you wanted from it to make some point or not. Either way I don't see how people can listen to the reference tracks and think Quentin is good enough for a full album release.

Maybe they listened to one of the many full length songs he has available.

Nope! His words!?!? Idc because I am not invested in the nuts and bolts. Just don't present no whack ish to the public. I bet meek wrote that whack shyt he released all by himself so are you proud of that more than a record that sounds great with help? Help that puts money in another black man's pocket?
then you are a fan of pop music and that's cool.

however your opinion on hip hop now lacks credibility.

I remember I was talking to a cat back in 2010 who was a part of producing a few songs going that year. One of them was a mega hit.

We were talking music and dude mentioned doing a track for a singer who the public who in general thought wrote all her own stuff.

When dude said they worked on a track for her, but had to give it to a writer my reaction (to myself) was "I thought she wrote her own stuff?" She does write, but not nearly at the clip everyone believes.

I realized then and there that the record industry has to sell an image.

A lot of folks know this already. But the majority of people out there will buy what's sold word for word. This whole thing is like a glance behind the curtain to those folks.

We talked Lady Gaga (not the singer I was talking about earlier) and it's another reason why I became such a great fan. Although we didn't talk anything specific, I realized on my own she doesn't write all her own stuff either, but what she does is still pretty spectacular.

nikkas really in here saying Quintin got "trash delivery" when that's exactly what drake is stealing from him.

Drake obviously thinks his flow is phenomenal, which is why he's paying him to use it.

You stans are truly pitiful:scust:
Flow and delivery are two different things, drake is stealing the flow. But they both rely on each other and Quentin does have a trash delivery. Sounds like he's insecure of his talents

Wanna Know makes me think meek is using ghost writers, cause that Ice Cream freestyle was so dope and is arguably better than all of DWMTN

True, but Kanye proved his skills are nice. When its time to freestyle, he did it, and real freestyling. You say no one takes drake as a serious MC, but he is on the sprite shyt with real mcs, so what am I supposed to think? He is always implying he is part of the greats, and others are cosigning him.

Ya'll can shut up about Kanye being a real mc. He freestyles the whole time off top. Compare to drake who will always need some kind of assistance. He makes beats and raps and has brought out lots of talent.

Because it's not that simple, hip hop isn't just about talent, you need to be marketable. FYI, Quentin actually is trying to propel himself into the industry.
Cosign.

If it was about talent, you and @Gator Reloaded Shoulda went triple :wow:

"System" is dope bruh.

No idiot... Quentin is rapping like he knows he's laying a reference track for the main guy in his camp.

Does this really have to be explained on this board?

Like seriously... who spends 100 of posts wondering why the ghost is not energetically rapping like he dropping a single next week.

Quentin laid the pace, flow, and theme of the track so Drake can come in and hop on it like he the don of something.

Drake is a fraud. This is the worst exposal of a primetime rapper in rap history.

Deal with it.

Welcome to HipHop...there are rules here. Industry execs. tried to work around those rules, and may have been successful for a while(listeners don't have time to investigate this shyt, we just know the rules), but the rules are the rules...he knows the rules(Drake), that's why they keep it on the low low too...he's been exposed...he's a fraud. At least Lady Gaga can actually sing, just sayin' :yeshrug:

Lol I'm not a Drake Stan and what exactly are you arguing, I was just stating what he misstated
