Kevin Hart is a solid standup comedian, but he is a star comedic actor. There's a reason why Eddie Murphy stopped doing standup, one pays much better than the other. Also, to maintain being a great standup takes reps. You need to work out your material, Kevin probably doesn't have the time to do that anymore.

This. Early Kevin was funny to my but now I can't get through his sets, they don't hit the same! He doesn't have struggle in life anymore really so his comedy is just off. He makes so much money from touring so I get it but I think he should be just a movie star.

When people were telling you the truth about Kevin Hart's stand-up ability, people couldn't see past it being "hating" or conflated that he was saturated everywhere and became nothing but a billboard for things as proof he was on the same level as legendary black comedians.

You could honestly put 20-30 black comedians ahead of him.

Yall trynna rewrite history. He was in nikkas top 5 a couple of years ago.

The issue is he was everywhere, dropping multiple movies and specials. It just became microwavable material at this point. In other words he fell off in our eyes because the jokes were just unfunny anymore. To say he was never funny is idiotic.
Stop it :hhh: you know damn well there was plenty of people saying that his fame level didnt match his talent. Im happy for his success, but lets not act like a good portion of people didnt see him like the black dane cook

a couple years ago, his own peers were telling you that he was propped up by the industry....and the quality of his material didn't match his perceived standing in comedy.

Jamie Foxx did the same thing, and this wasn't a criticism of him.

His comedy is just like his stature, Short lived.

Needs to evolve to keep going, can't just do the same type of humor and expect to get more than two good specials out of it.

Never thought he was a top tier comic, but he seems to put in the work. I still think he was a plant and have been saying that before the Katt Williams interview. but there are comedians like Epps who shyt on him but don’t have his work ethic.

Yeah it seems that he's transitioned from just comedy into other ventures the hate really started. It's that old crab in the barrel mentality. The biggest haters are other comedians

He was funny

He’s just trendy to shyt on now cause people love drama and gossipy salon talk bullshyt

nikka tours globally selling out arenas. Aint' too many nikkaz that can do that :yeshrug: so yes, he belongs on that list.

"personally" not finding someone funny is opinion too.

but you know how it is once you make it too big with nikkaz. Can't have that. :mjlol:
