Got mad memories of games I rented from Blockbuster, but nah.

I remember going to blockbuster with the homies, dead set on playing MK all weekend. Show up and shyt was all rented out, had to settle for World Heroes

:childplease:
Man I was skipping school to ride a bike to blockbuster on Tuesday morning once I learned that when they put out the new games.

All about doing that like twice and still missing the popular games :mjlol:

Yes but as a complete part of the entertainment circle.

From the promotional events, advertisement, and movie and gaming promotions.

If blockbusters reopened as they are now it would be whack and inconvenient UNLESS they got movies and games earlier than average retail spots or online storefronts.
We always got big title games and movies a couple weeks or days before they are officially released. We just couldn’t put them on the shelves. It’s how I was putting early rips on Limewire, Bearshare and Kazaa for you ungrateful nikkas.

Yes, but even bigger than Blockbuster I miss having limited access to forms of entertainment like movies, music, etc.

I felt like I appreciated them more then than I do now.

I remember getting a PS1 on Christmas and that same day we went to a rental store that was open to rent X-Men vs Street Fighter.
Having cds I would listen to the whole album. Overtime some of the trash songs grew on me to become a classic

Nowadays with Spotify I listen to the first 20 seconds and never listen to it again

So we discussed this. I just did research and I don't see anywhere where they did what you saying
All I know, I had the highest total score on the east coast.
Regionals was in Baltimore if you lived in the DMV
And I lost in the 2nd rd to a kid who was like 7yrs old because they didn't turn off computer assistance in NBA Jam

This link I found should bring back some memories if you accomplished anything in that tournament...

There's a space between imgur. AND com because the link wont work if I post it :dahell:
I still have that Hat with the button. I don't recall getting a folder with my scores written in it. That was on display at the store around here.

I'll never for the life of me understand the Blockbuster nostalgia. They were shyt. fukking 2 night rentals. and the late fees. Hollywood Video cleared. 5 day rentals and was usually attached to a GameCrazy.

If a blockbuster existed right now, I'd rent blurays of shyt from the services I don't have.
If you didn't have Disney+, or if you didn't have Amazon/etc.

I have kids so if we went into one, they'd be picking shyt left and right :francis:

My score was 92- 4.
When I finished they did not even have any records or any of that before my score. The worker and manager called into corporate and got it approved for highest score. Any store with records was made after mine . I was the first and they showed all the scores after that. No one beat the computer with a score of two. To say they played better. I averaged two quarters of perfect basketball and played three quarters of perfect basketball.

All that other shyt anybody had was participation. They could have had other people who scored a lot of points. I did it given the rules from the brochure and how the employee set it up.

Sohh all the rest of the games i was like whatever in. For nba jams. I trained for that and did what i set out to do. Which was play the best game of nba jams possible in what i felt was recorded history.
As who believes blockbuster would go out of business.
