So was Iggy being signed to T.I. a win for Hip-Hop too:patrice:? It's a win for J, Jas, :birdman: and whoever else is raping his pockets but not the average fan.

This thread is shaping up to be amazing

2 or 3 discussions have started from my original question/statement

1. Was the basic question.. Do you guys take the coli drake hate off the forum when you're out in social settings

Now we've begun to analyze how Drake is vulture and how whites played a unique role in hip hop's inception from day one.

To answer your question, I think it's a win for the culture when a pioneer's son can find the next big thing and sign him. Everything about lil j is black excellence. He's a self made man who started an independent label that laid the blueprint for southern dominance (dominating presently)

Small indie black owned label creates transformational blueprint that spawns power houses (No Limit, Cash Money, Suavehouse, Hypnotize Minds)

Raises his son with no intention to takeover the family business and his son finds the modern Ll Cool J

That's just :wow:

How do you all feel about J Prince's son discovering and signing him to his label? I get that almost all of you feel like he's a vulture, however, he's signed by a forefather's son. Isn't that a win for hip hop?

It's not a win or a loss or an anything for hip-hop.

In that same interview J. Prince said he wished he signed Vanilla Ice around the time "Ice Ice Baby" blew up. Fast forward to 2016, his son signed Drake. I respect the business acumen but
they clearly don't give a fukk about hip-hop, they only care about money. It's the same as a Jimmy Iovine, or whoever.

Fred.
