Question: In the Late 90s, Why Didn't Whoever Who Was on Rodman Leave Him to Double MJ?

Rodman wasn't known to be even a decent scorer, shooter or playmaker, so why wouldn't whoever was his match-up double MJ.

Legit question. I'm guessing because Scottie was an elite playmaker, so him being able to get the ball, then find Rodman open was likely, maybe?

What's the correct answer? Am I simplifying the game too much?

Later in his career, MJ could be tired out by physical defense, so I'd think that, that would be the best course of action.
