That and the dialogue was what inspired 1000 copycats and sent a bunch of nerds to film school to write terrible ripoff scripts. It wasn’t the story that inspired that. And Nas was literally the first mainstream rapper to pull it off. And the last up until 20 years later where Game JUST attempted it and used Nas’ verse as a template. Didn’t even create his shyt from scratch. A testament to how difficult that had to be for Nas to create from scratch.
