I wonder how little money they offered him to just let his deal expire? Or as another breh said, maybe they offered him a agent/backstage gig and he didn't want it. Still, really weird not to keep someone that's so perfect for the midcard, as he stays over no matter what so you can elevate him or cool him down depending on the situation and he's always gonna be useful and help your product.

:mjcry:Damn Ron :mjcry: Say it ain’t so

One of my favorites since he came back to WWE in 2008.

Consistently entertaining and made chicken shyt into chicken salad.

It’s an obvious budget cut. Ron is in his mid 50s and probably has a contract they couldn’t justify.

I was hoping he would continue to play a part of the Cena story

SRS is saying he is leaving after his contract is up. So who knows what to believe.

That's very different than "you're released, today"

This is looking real, and there had to have been something big backstage to cause it.

Tbh, the Cena angle/match was his farewell so it ain't like WWE just threw him to the bushes. It's just bizarre to not want to keep a guy like Truth on your roster :mjpls:

So it's real?

Nah fukk this. I'm not saying give him a farewell tour, but this guy has been a constant in WWE for 15+ years, reinvented himself many times and always gets a reaction from the crowd. Very few non world champions can do that.

I bet AEW can cook with him for a couple years before he hangs it up.

R-Truth was such a fan favorite and a fun, comedic dude that he even made serious wrestlers break character (Brock Lesnar and heel John Cena).

There’s no way you can convince me that this wasn’t a :mjpls: move by Triple H.

Triple H is the same dude that buried Booker T at WrestleMania 2003 (Booker was suppose to win but H complained to Vince and had him change the outcome) and he even tried to play backstage politics and stop The Rocks momentum during the attitude era.

Could be that Truth is or would rather be released than wait for his contract to expire hence the different viewpoints of the tweet.

Who in this economy would say’ “No stop paying me right now.” :russ:

Man got a bag for 17 years and probably invested well. Probably was sold to him like they would discuss renewing your deal after the Cena program and they let him go (knowing ahead of time probably) which is why he’s probably taken aback.

I'd be lying if I said I was a fan of truth's buffoonery, as a matter of fact it made me feel uncomfortable at times.. he never really crossed the line from comedy to straight up c00n,, but he surely tip-toed it a lot..!

that being said, dude has been loved by the crowd for almost 20 years,, and they never got sick of him like they did Seth, roman, Charlotte, etc.. wwe is stupid for even letting it leak that someone with such institutional knowledge, veteran respect, marketability,, and consistent ability to connect with the crowd might potentially leave at a time when so many of hunter's little pet projects like diy and Shawn spears get crickets from the crowd..

truth is money,, and they gotta give him a legends contract or backstage role or something, straight up..!

Age is a excuse, they just releasing people they feel they have no use for and don't deem worthy.(Even if they are loved by fans)

I expect one of the people below to be next sadly.

Natayla
Apollo
Shinsuke
Apollo hasn't been on tv in years, unless it's when I been outside having a blunt break.

I swore I read that Shinsuke was released weeks ago, but that was false. He's 45 so I can see him going home soon.

Natayla got cats to raise...

The Truth thing definitely came out of nowhere. He was just a huge feature on SD
