Don't let the Canadians fool you, its racists point blank. Lived there for almost a year (vancouver) and I saw my first swastika in my elevator. Pretty sure it had to do with the fact that I lived with a pretty white chick, and Im pretty sure it was these drunk fat dudes that had seen us getting into an elevator. When them canucks drink they get racial. thing is, never to your face, and it's always discreet. They're not like southern whites they aint about that life, unless they're bullying the smaller asians.
There's an undertone toward asians and how canadians feel like they're taking over their land, not to mention racism toward the natives and this stereotype that they drink too much.
Asians (chinese and indians) are def looked down upon.
They won't say anything to the west indies, haitians or anything because they're afraid of the slap. But I've heard out loud on various occasions how "its crazy how this city is now asian, it used to be all white, what happened"

I hate how canadians try to paint a utopia. simply absurd. It's a miserable place. Tdot MIGHT be the only place, but out of such a large country that's pretty pathetic. I can list a dozen american cities that shyt all over tdot and are far less expensive with better weather and less taxes.

Like what? Ive lived in Brooklyn which is dope and I've lived in downtown Toronto for the past couple years and its fun as hell. 24/7 party and full of based positivity. I really don't see any other place that could compare. Its expensive but you get used to it.

Having been born and raised in Canada, we have a fair share of racism. It may not seem like much when compared to America, but it's definitely more annoying.
The thing with racism in Canada is that it's more subtle and backhanded, and sometimes you wish people were more upfront with their own personal prejudice. You experience it in the workforce than in public or socially. Because were so multicultural, people usually bring their own ignorant beliefs when they immigrate here. Some of them change or outright drop their ignorant beliefs of other cultures, some hold onto it even tighter.
It's worse when an new immigrant has the nerve to tell you to go back to your country when you were not only born here, but have a better grasp of English than they do.
