Two obvious reasons stand out to me.

1.) disposable income

Because of the unjust and racist society we live in more have disposable income to go to multiple shows and concerts and support artist.

2.) a safe way to appease "white guilt"
The way the media works and this society.
No one is really left with any time and or energy or care to understand the other sides coping with the racial machine in this country. But we all cope in different ways.

On their side attending a wu concert appeases any mental guilt/ also you don't really have to get your hands dirty and do anything. It also will not alter any undeserved privledge. It's a win win.
