this was one representation of black men in the 90s...whether we like it or not blacks have little individuality in this country in part due to the white owned racist media

:patrice: i wonder if decades of negative, anti-black images is partly why in 2016 the general public is ok with unarmed blacks being shot down by police like animals.

You still ain't tell me who's your favorite rappers.

It definitely plays a role, at least on a subconscious level.

I've never looked at rap as being owned by white people, to promote and spread negative stereotypes.

Reminds me of that one article about the secret meeting that happened before n.w.a. Came out.

The one where executives all met up to discuss this new genre of music "gangsta rap" and how they should all be investing in private prisons because business was about to be booming.

Basically all rappers are/were hustlers/trappers. They promote that ignorance and spread it to the youth who idolizes them and wants to be like them.

Damn it's starting to make sense now :francis:

Which albums WERENT distributed by white people tho. Every album released was by a label distributed by a white company.

You could say the same thing for any album.

Steve rifkind put out wu cause it made money. Not to put a bad stereotype out.

Wu were buzzing well before rifkind helped them blow.

But they don't tell you that it's gonna get your ass prison sentences and possibly death.

A person that 'traps' fits the stereotype and almost always has a gun on them, (and not a legal firearm neither) which is even more reason for police to put them in jail and label them as murderers or even for police to murder them and try to justify it.

i just started seeing it this way the last few years.

especially when i realized that propaganda was a major tool in the extermination of the jews in nazi germany...

Films in particular played an important role in disseminating racial antisemitism, the superiority of German military power, and the intrinsic evil of the enemies as defined by Nazi ideology. Nazi films portrayed Jews as "subhuman" creatures infiltrating Aryan society. For example, The Eternal Jew (1940), directed by Fritz Hippler, portrayed Jews as wandering cultural parasites, consumed by sex and money.

The Nazi regime used propaganda effectively to mobilize the German population to support its wars of conquest until the very end of the regime. Nazi propaganda was likewise essential to motivating those who implemented the mass murder of the European Jews and of other victims of the Nazi regime. It also served to secure the acquiescence of millions of others—asbystanders—to racially targeted persecution and mass murder.

Nazi Propaganda

even worse imo was the fairly recent transition from drug dealer to drug user.
now they have all these black kids sipping lean which is liquid heroin. and of course lean is NOTHING new, but the biggest current rappers are pushing this shyt heavy.

for people to not see what's going on is almost unbelievable... but that shows that the campaign is effective.

distributed by white owned epic records...

hard drugs were almost exclusive to white people when i was growing up, but now it's been totally normalized by the black community :francis:

You know what's fukked up about future? He openly said that he doesn't use heavy drugs like he says he does. Dude said he only raps about it because it's what's buzzing....

And you're right, where I am from currently a lot of white people dying from heroine, doing crack, and generally all the white kids I know stayed high off prescription painkillers.

It's sad because all these rappers push out this bubblegum rap basically telling the youth to weaken their genetics by consuming prescription drugs (that come with many side-effects) in a social setting. Making it socially acceptable.

Then they pass on those deficiencies and weaker genetics to their offspring, whom, Will more than likely, than not, continue in the same path and abusing prescription drugs and weakening their genetics even further.

Modern day population control. That and the fact alcohol is legal, and you have to drive to bars to consume it in a controlled social environment

There's absolutely some validity in what you and @ridedolo are saying but I find it quite interesting that you guys believe that these Hip Hop artists are detrimental to the Black community and the negative messages are basically being promoted and peddled by these White owned labels and the White Supremacist system yet you still listen to and openly support and praise the music. You have Big L in your avi. He had a good amount of those negative images you talk about in his music. Lyrics about selling drugs, robbing other black people, misogyny, etc. In one thread you guys are stanning these same rappers and in the next you're going on and on about how demonic it is. Why still listen to these rappers then? Why have them as your avatars on messageboards?

Not too emotional. Just wanted to point out how asinine you look by labeling Wu-Tang music as a minstrel show. I started calling you out your name when you straight up decided to resort to bold faced lies.

Drake is just as bad as the rest. He has alot of that negative stuff in his lyrics also and it's not even written by him and he openly associates and makes music with these same artists you guys are demonizing. I get what you're saying about old habits die hard though.
