In the grand scheme of things it's not a huge blow. I doubt the average fan goes to every home game or even most of them, so a Oaklander has a built in excuse to spend a weekend or two in Vegas. It's only a 2 hr flight from The Town.
Losing a professional sports team is a huge blow, especially to raiders fans from the bay. It's a lot of fans who ain't been off the block who won't be hitting Vegas.

Raiders to San Diego low key would be the best move. But a new stadium deal would have to get done eventually. Assuming the Chargers move next season

How can he keep the team in Oakland and build a stadium without public money? Davis is at the bottom of worth amongst the NFL owners.
You're probably right....public money is a key component...Im just wondering why with all that money available in the bay area ... mainly silicon valley....why Mark couldn't make a deal with one or more of those companies to build a new stadium...there are more billionaires in the bay than las Vegas...but I'm still in shock it's happening...THE RAIDERS coming to MY CITY???.. I can't even process how fukking AWESOME this whole scenario is for me...it feels like I'm dreaming...and if the NFL kills this whole thing...I might be

If the Giants and 49ers had to build their own stadiums the raiders have to it as well. The Bay Area is different then a place like Texas, getting any city to pay for a stadium is damn near impossible

The NFL would've preferred this but Mark doesn't want to sell huge chunks of the team to a Mark Zuckerberg or a Larry Ellison type. Unlike the rest of the owners in pro sports Al Davis and his son Mark are just football only. Other franchise owners, in all sports, have other main businesses and the sports ownership is like a passionate hobby on the side. I don't believe the Davis family has or does anything outside of Raiders football.

I hear you... Oakland especially is not coming out of pocket with even a dime to keep the raiders...the only way they stay is if they could find their own Sheldon adelson who is giving 650 million towards the stadium...and their are plenty of guys like that in the bay...it might be too late tho... Vegas already has the funding the land and the backing of the two most powerful owners

Not even that. It's only a 75minute flight and the rates are cheap as fukk, especially if you fly out of Stockton :wow:

Mark Davis is definitely not giving up any part of the Raiders to anybody...he already let Adelson know that shyt right off top..that 650 million he's getting from him here in Vegas you would think he could get that from 1 of the 100 billionaires out in the bay...but I guess they don't want to keep the Raiders that bad...The exact opposite is the case in Vegas

What company is making a deal without getting a piece of the team?

There's billionaires that would've bought into the Raiders, but Al was being goofy about it. This was just pure thirst on Vegas' part. I think even the money that Davis and Adelson are putting in they're getting back from the taxes because I do know if Mark legit put 500 mil up in Oakland he would've had his stadium a year ago. He wants the public to pay for it, but doesn't want to share anything which is where Oakland drew the line. The NFL is probably :snoop: at this because the 49ers have done their best to alienate folks here and the Raiders could've covered any lost good will, but instead they're dealing with an owner willing to move a team from solid stable money with a solid fan base to a tourist destination. I ain't heard a lot of Raider fans say they're keeping their season tickets if they move to Vegas. It's only a 2 hour flight, but you gotta pay for flights and hotel rooms too.

I'm sure the A's owner is happy. If they leave and the Warriors cross the bridge he'll have the entire east bay to himself. The Warriors are happy because they don't have to fight the NFL machine for top billing here.....and I know the 49ers are here, but they're in the south bay
