People saying Knicks?

I entertained that idea before Phil came. Now? They don't need him. Besides I expect Gasol and Monroe to be much higher on the list to target than Rondo

I could see the Mavs, Rockets or Indy going after him but other a few select teams, I don't see where he ends up. Most teams already have a starting PG in place
Yeah, Knicks don't have the assets to do it and even if what they had was enough, I wouldn't want the Knicks to trade the last few assets they have just to take on Rondo and a shytty contract or two. I don't even really like Rondo that much so whatever:manny:

Knicks should wait till next season. More cap space, more fun.

Rockets dont have the assets. Pacers dont have the assets. Knicks can provide cap space by taking on Wallace in an Amare swap (Danny wanted to draft Amare and always was a fan). Pistons and Suns could be interested in Monroe or Bledsoe S+T instead of letting them walk. Smart money is on NYK/DET/PHX in some order. Sac still a player but I think that trade would have happened already since there were rumors of it for a long time if it was going to happen, unless they are waiting on trade restrictions to expire.

Melo wants Rondo and he'd be a marquee free agent anyway. If they plan on targeting him they might as well do it now to lock him up and get him in the system a year earlier

I don't think Rondo would fit in that triangle offense. Not sure how he would fit, since Fisher said they won't be 100% committed to the T offense.

Could also see OKC as a lowkey interested party. Would have to be a three team deal since they do not have matching salaries...and they might have to part with Steven Adams which could be a deal breaker...but they could play Rondo/Westbrook/Durant/Ibaka/Perkins.

It could be more plausible as a fit than you think if they run Calderon and Rondo in the same back-court at times. I think they could adjust from the pure triangle if it meant they are moving a guy like Rondo into the fold. Im sure Fish/Phil have some sort of respect for Rondo, perhaps more than some others, due to their battles in the finals

Rondon needs to stay far, far, far, away from my team. No way I'm giving up Adams for rondo. We need a solid SG, and Arron Afflalo was the answer, till he was traded back to Den for some peanuts.. If OKC can trade for a solid SG or a C we should be good. But we need SG though.

You wouldnt want Rondo at the 1 and slide Westbrook to the 2? Rondo could possibly improve Perk's game (ever so slightly) due to their chem/friendship. I have no idea how they would do it since they have few big contracts to trade, and like I said, Adams would possibly be a deal breaker...but I could see them making a phone call for the hell of it due to their trade history (ray allen trade, second jeff green trade etc)

Maybe Suns with Bledsoe since he hates their FO too?

Pistons make sense other than that. Could see the Kings taking a shot at him even if he doesnt want to resign at first

He was drafted by the Suns after all :yeshrug:. And i second your Wallace comment. That motherfukker has GOT to go with any Rondo deal.
