The Bobcats are “absolutely serious” about their pursuit of Evan Turner, Lowe writes, pointing to the connection between David Falk, who serves as Turner’s agent, and Bobcats owner Michael Jordan, a former Falk client. The Sixers are a lock to be “super active” as the deadline approaches, according to Lowe.

Sources tell Lowe that the Warriors aren’t ready to trade Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes, in spite of the team’s struggles.

Executives around the league are high on Alexey Shved, but the Timberwolves probably wouldn’t be able to get a game-changer in return for him.

The Heat are ready to waive either Roger Mason Jr. or Toney Douglas to open up a roster spot so they can acquire a player via trade or in the post-deadline buyout market.

Lowe continues to hear that the Nuggets are making Kenneth Faried available for the right return, even as Denver consistently denies such talk.

Hawks GM Danny Ferry isn’t enamored with the four-year, $32MM deal that the team committed to Jeff Teague when it matched his offer sheet from the Bucks this past summer.

The Nets seem to be leaning toward not making a move at the deadline, according to Lowe.

My bad breh, I don't get your question.

That would be a trade assuming they aren't trying to make anything of this year and are trying to get a lottery pick. :yeshrug:

With the Hawks being injured and the Nets still trying for that 3rd or 4th seed, the Raptors can easily be the 3rd seed and have one series at home. Lowry has been their best player this test along with Derozen. I think they take too big of a risk by trying to throw the season at this point.

However, if they are with the understanding that even if they make it to the playoffs:
1) The arena still won't be sold out
2) To move Lowry now instead of letting him just leave in the offseason without any return
3)They know they aren't winning anything
4) By clearing house now, they set themselves up for the draft and free agency in the offseason.

With regards to that hypothetical 3 team trade, do you see the Celtics going for that if Rondo hints he's leaving?
Just to keep on topic re-posting trade http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ljrv8bn

what u willing to offer?

Hash (can be released after the season to clear money), & a late first or 2 would be all I would offer (OKC would use the Maynor tade exception to make the money work). Anything else I wouldn't bother with for a rental of Kamen.

The Knicks are once more trying to pry Kenneth Faried from the Nuggets in exchange for Iman Shumpert after their initial push for such a trade failed in November, tweets Marc Stein of ESPN.com. Those talks fell through when Denver asked New York to include multiple draft picks, presumably including a first-rounder. The Knicks already owe this year’s first-round pick to the Nuggets from the Carmelo Anthony trade, and they can’t trade their 2015, 2016 or 2017 first-rounders, either.
:why: Do the Knicks really think fukking Shumpert is going to net them Faried?? :dead: He ain't even better than rookie Timmy Hardaway Jr. on the same team. :russ:

Andrew Bogut is sitting out due to a bone bruise and swelling in his left shoulder and phrased Mark Jackson's comments that the injury could have happened while the center was sleeping as "absolutely ridiculous."

Bogut said his injury occurred while playing in the Golden State Warriors' win over the Utah Jazz on Jan. 31.

"It's gotten worse and worse, so I just wanted to address it," Bogut said. "The sleeping comment is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know where it came from.

"It's definitely not the case I just woke up, slept on my shoulder wrong and have a bone bruise and swelling in my shoulder from sleeping, very highly unlikely I believe."
:leon: Bogut-Jackson beef? :patrice: Its looks like Marc Jackson is mad he didn't get that extension before the season and is starting to look like he is beginning to sweat bullets that the Warriors might be replacing him after this season or the next if the Warriors don't continue to improve or don't live up to expectations now.
