That's half the point, it still opens up the lane though and puts the defense in two minds. I do agree that Doc has him out on the pop too much, but it's been effective this season - one of the main reasons why they've had a top 5 offense up to this point.

Portland can actually make a trade or two before the deadline to improve too. LAC is stuck with what they have unless you count Austin Rivers.
