combination of him playing 40 mins, tough matchups and lack of help defense. plus his defense forces that extra pass.
If he gets the tough matchup then his matchup is always going against the other teams best defender
How does forcing the extra pass factor into these stats?
These advanced stats are flawed
a lot of the time, dudes would force shots up or have room to get off a shot.... butler's one of the few dudes in the league who'll force them to pass as they can't get off a shot.... one or two of these occasions a game and that drastically alters his opp FG%... plus he probably can't play as aggressively as he'd want as thibs got him playing 40mins a game, it's not like he can take the risk of racking up fouls.

But any stat that says butler isnt a top 10 sg defender is dumb
Dudes gotta watch games and not rely on stats....too many factors that stats cant take into consideration

I wanna kill Adleman for letting this man rot on the bench last year
to be fair, his attitude was probably rotten as hell and i think this year is the first season of his basketball life where he showed up in shape
