I said in the first month of the season that OKC should've capitalized on PJ3's production and traded him to Boston with Perkins for Jeff Green and Tyler Zeller.

Boston wasn't and probably isn't trading Zeller
He's been a pleasant surprise this year

Yes I applied that to one team, because that's ALWAYS been the weakest link on the Grizzlies for the last 2-3 seasons (once Rudy left) - they haven't had a WING that can create his shot. I said they'll keep falling at the same hurdle if they don't get a proper wing. OKC have never had that problem and now the Warriors don't have that problem. And the difference in me talking up the Warriors' chances is because they have a COMPLETE team, they have inside scoring, outside scoring, players that can put it on the floor etc etc and I've always mentioned that OKC's dumb ass coach is holding them back from reaching their potential. Don't act like I've been targeting Memphis as the only team whose shyt stinks.
I've never hated on the Grizz, they've been one of my favorite teams to watch for a minute; I've always looked at dudes sideways who say they're 'boring' to watch.
You're better than to take what I said out of context and act like my 'wings that can create their own shot" statement is the be-all and end-all of a team's chances. That was only meant to be applied to Memphis, because that was their area of weakness.
I don't get why this is so hard to understand?
Who said it was solely Jeff Green? I just pointed their record out to a dude that didn't want him on his team in the first place.![]()
not close to contender status? discrediting every win up to that point? no hate tho huh?I like the Grizzlies. But they're not close to being contenders. And until they fix their perimeter shooting/scoring, they never will be. They've had an easy schedule to:
Playing Minnesota first up, who have different pieces and still aren't any anywhere near the playoff picture in the West
A depleted and much-changed Pacers squad, was always going to be a win for a defensive team that had a few years together as a unit
Playing their younger, weaker cousin in Charlotte, no surprise they'd come out on top
Pelicans really ain't shyt outside of my mans AD, and are going through are power-struggle with Tyreke, Jrue fighting over the ball (until that's fixed they won't be shyt)
Phoenix is their only notable win, Conley and Lee stepped up to match all the Suns' guard scoring and everyone else did their thing
And OKC, well I think that speaks for itself

scored 112 points that night and had one of the top offenses in the game. no hate tho huh? This game is a great reflection of why both Memphis and Portland will fail in the playoffs. One team doesn't have enough guards/wings that can break down defenses/create their own shot and the other can't defend for shyt.
