Nah, this has little to do with Harden. Bickerstaff has been the biggest difference maker for them this season. McHale gotta get some props too. At the end of the day though, this team isn't built for the playoffs.... for obvious reasons.

McHale is a better coach than Brooks. That much is true. I think we all know how great Harden has been for yall this season - yet his impact/play has little to do with Smith's play. Team structure, belief in what he can bring to a team and putting him in a more suitable role for his skillset is why he's playing better in Houston.

Where did I say Bickerstaff helped improve Josh's offensive performance? Stop playing dumb. It was a separate point - which is why I said, and I quote "Bickerstaff has been the biggest difference maker for them this season". Keyword - them. Yall were middle of the pact defensively last season, now you're one of the best defensive teams in the league. That's largely down to him. Last season yall were a fun 3-pt shooting team, now yall are a walking 3+D squad.

Plus Houston actually have some underrated defenders on the bench. Tarik is an exceptional interior defender and was one of the best anchors in college when he played at Kansas. Motiejunas has improved a lot too.

DMo hasn't improved at all. He's the same. Just getting minutes.

DMo has opponents shooting 12.8% below their season average, compared to last season when he'd regularly get found out on that side of the ball.

Also his post defense was ranked top 5 in the league this season.

The howard and jones injury weren't total wastes.

Dmo is a strange case. He definitely doesnt pass the eye test but then the stats state otherwise. His rotations and help defenee is good but he still gets abused and manuevered around one on one.... hes definitely not the rim protector that jones, smith,capela, and howard isnbut hes taller than all of them
