i dont think the suns are getting a haul for kd, but i think multiple teams easily beat the best deal denver can offer unless for some reason phoenix really really likes mpj and watson. the only tradeable 1st denver has is their 2031 pick.

basically the bucks only way forward with giannis is to punt on next season. only sign guys to 1 year or extremely team friendly deals. if they do that theyll enter the 26 offseason with basically no cap room but with kuzma's 20 mil expiring and dame with his 58.4 mil option. still not a perfect situation but they at least have a chance to get out of cap hell and retool around giannis. theres probably below no chance a team allows them to start that a year early by taking dame and kuzma off their hands this offseason.

That's a massive gamble on their part as it's predicated on Giannis not changing his mind depending on how badly the "gap year" goes and having faith that they'll retool as he's essentially on an expiring after that gap year is over with a player option the following season.

I'm still of the belief the NBA needs to adjust its calendar to take advantage of having only baseball to compete with during the summer months. You got kids off from school. In large parts of the country the summer time is the "it's too damn hot to be going anywhere so I'm staying in" type of weather. Sporting news shows are dead with nothing to talk about since NFL free agency and draft is done with. Nobody cares about the start of the season as is with the NFL and college football going strong.
