fukk the Spurs and fukk the Mavs but you see how their franchises are developing there top picks. Stephon castle, in particular, had clear flaws in his games that were glaring. Look at him now. Ime’s coaching and philosophy (if he has one) doesn’t protect his players from being f exposed. It exposes them and leaves them exposed. Castle has shown more growth and development in a year then Amen throughout his career.

I’m positive that Wemby and Castle wouldn’t the impactful players they are now if they got drafted by Houston and Ime. And Wemby is a generational player but he’s had a ton of development and coaching up. Mark my words.IME. WOULD’VE. fukkED. THAT. UP.

That’s why I said trade Amen or whoever tk get Giannis. None of these young core players are going to reach their potential ceiling with Ime. He has that role player mentality. Thats why he loves playing Okogie and Finna Miss. if we got the number pick sure, Ime would give him minutes to see what he can do but that player better reach out to other greats to get better Because Ime ain’t developing shyt. And if he can’t play defense, he’s not seeing the floor for most of the night. Ime didn’t even want to play Reed but had no choice because Ime's offense is so inept and he needs Reed spark on offense
Imagine when you guys max Amen but you can't play him in the last 3 min when you down 8 cause he can't shoot and no one will guard him :picard:

Reed isn’t a PG. He’s your Seth Curry.

I agree but he can handle the rock, move without the ball and most importantly shoot.

Ime could have developed some sets throughout the season for him. Had him running point to develop him.

Reed messes up once on defense and he doesn't play again until 3min left in the game

Would also say we don’t know if he can be the 1 or not because ime never really gave him the keys, and the offense he runs stinks. Same way we don’t know what amens true ceiling is either.

Exactly we’ll never know any of the players true ceiling on offense because Ime doesn’t run an offense. Everybody looks limited on offense

Jalen has had some stinkers but watching him in that stretch he averaged like 28, it’s clear how different he can operate with a better system(and Devin Booker’s guidance). I was seeing dude hit turnaround post fades :childplease: Situations matter for young dudes and ime is just not good with them. Would like to see amen under a different coach. I still feel like he’s a star being used strong.

Jalen is the ultimate high variance player. There’s not a more hot/cold player in the league. Heads tk find that balance between adding more muscle and quickness. Jalen can get to the cup with ease but he can get bumped off it too and his whistle is weak. And you might see it or not but he’s not a strong primary ball handler. He also got the pg experiment. Jalen has secondary ball handler capabilities imo and that’s couple with small hand, which is why he misses so many layups at the rim and why he got blocked by Barnes on that dunk

Amen plays scare at the rim. He gets to the cup. And right under the basket and gets deterred to easily. He also has underwhelming handles. Amen needs to develop an actual bag. He has no move. And without a real pg to get set him up his ceiling is capped. He lacks touch around the rim.

Media has overhyped Amen. He ain't that much better on offense than Ausur.

Difference is Ausar has Cade and a coaching staff that will get him easy looks and let him do things that he's great at. Always said Ausur can develop into an Iggy player.

Amen is the same but yet they think he can become Jalen Brown

Amen is a smart player. Limited but smart. He’s come this far in a complicated situation. Averaging 18, 8, and 5. And he’s still playing at his floor level. Amen can be even more impactful with a better coach.

I group Amen with Castle and Black as similar players coming into the league with similar weaknesses. Anthony Black and Castle have fix their issues and flaws much more progressively than Amen has so far. All with great athleticism and suspect jumpers.
