I forgot if i already mentioned it in this thread,

edit - i did, during opening week :dead:

Watching Lakers/Wolves…

Ant worked on his mid-range jumper, sure… but he didn’t improve his point of attack. He’s still playing iso-ball 25 feet from the basket.

Another example of it don’t matter if it’s Conley or Divencenzo at point… the ball will be in Ant’s hands or Randles to operate in silos, and neither generate offense for others except the most basic drive n kicks. But because Ant starts 25 feet out and does his rapid fire iso dribbling (and not a methodical back-down dribble or PnR manipulation like Luka/Shai), the offense isn’t settled and his mid range shots are still tough/high energy.

Hence the continued inconsistency of a big 1st quarter but a quiet 2nd quarter.

Literally the same thing happened tonight. Caught fire in the 4th making tough shots so his numbers balanced out but he was useless/clueless in the first half, and every time down it was top of the key dribble dribble deadball iso pullup jumpers from 20-25 feet. That's just not sustainable for extended playoff runs, unless 1 or 2 of those series are against teams with shyt defenses
