for whatever reason, the coach still hasn't made Fox the lead ballhandler. I'm not making excuses for Fox, he needs to be better. But having him be the secondary ball-handler to a guy who has been pretty much absymal as the lead guard (Castle) is ridiculous

they traded for him and gave him a big contract just to play second fiddle to a 2nd year player who's been turning it over at an insane rate all season, not to mention putting up Lakers Westbrook numbers offensively

P. Watson really turning into a player, last year in the playoffs he looked like one of the worst offensive players in the league

Lazy coaching that over-relied on one player doing everything painted a picture that Gordon (who led a team to the playoffs as a #1), MPJ, Watson, etc., were hopeless on their own when you could argue it was the system that didn’t offer much autonomy or empowerment.

Fox is averaging 20/4/3 in spite of that so nah, he still been managing to impose his will when he wants to

Fox is a vet he has a bigger voice than Castle, fukk waiting for the substitute coach, he should just put Castle in his place cuz that nikka has been shooting TERRIBLY since they beat the thunder and got all that hype.


Idk if they scared of that nikka or what but somebody gotta pull up a shot chart and make it very plain to him why he shouldn't be taking 20 shots in a game when Fox and Wemby are out there

IMO they are doing it the right way. They are coaching for the future and not for winning game to game. With young players you have to put them out there and let them make their mistakes and learn what brings them success as players. That comes with letting them fukk up. It's something Pop did early with Parker and Manu when people were knocking him for not just pounding it into Duncan every possession.

You let them wild out now and then as the season progresses start reeling them in and adding more discipline to their games. Or if you don't feel they are the long term fit it also lets them pad the stats to trick some other team into giving up assets.
