I said this a couple months ago, and I got like 5 replies of brehs trying to talk me down. KD does not have that impact anymore
They were better off just letting the team they had last year just grow and get better year by year. People don't want to hear it, but Dillian Brooks has more of an impact on winning than KD does at this point of his career. Rockets were better off just getting a younger 3 and D player in the offseason and keeping their team intact
It’s been like that for a while. KD is at the same stage Bron is where the current climate allows them to put up numbers with minimal impact.

Steph is the only one who can still be impactful for a contender as a #1 option. Although that’s been on the decline imo & he has 1-2yrs tops as that guy.

All facts. They went all in on Ime so it was championship or bust since then, but at the same time they want to be stingy with their young guys instead of pushing all their chips in the middle. The result is going to be a early exit in the playoffs because KD can't carry nikkas anymore. I saw the writing on the wall with him on the Nets, and it became glaring during his time on the Suns.

All I want is Jo to stop attempting chase down blocks and a significant reduced amount of Oubre minutes in the 4th.

Exactly. Ime did a great job last year with the younger core, just build off that, he got too greedy. Like you said, the Nets vs Celtics series in 2022 was a big sign. But everyone should have known KD didn't have that impact anymore from that Suns vs Wolves series

And got swept smh

The issue is teams keep making Kd the #1 option. I thought a stronger coach like ime could break this but his offensive system sucks. Kd is just gradually bullying the confidence out of goon and amen by complaining when he doesn’t get the ball to ISO or post for 16 seconds. Kd being able to blend in with any team is a myth.

Kd being your best scorer does not mean he needs to be your first option/main decision maker.
