Timing is everything, bc these are all crippling and likely chronic injuries to Denver and OKC but since every other team is injured or mid, they can limp by.

But still,

2nd time Aaron Gordon's aggravated his hamstring this season

Quiet as kept, Hartenstein aggravated his calf a 2nd time in late Dec and he's been out ever since

Hypothetically...if you're a team that is even slightly interested in trading for Giannis you have to give up significant players AND wait 1-2 months for him to return from a calf injury that's plagued him for the majority of this season.

If I'm a GM there's no way.

99% of the time it's the coach who tells the media about an injury the next day after the medical team diagnosis it.

This dude just ran to the mic when the game was over and said he our for a month to a month and a half c ya :coffee:

Must have been scared Doc was going to say it wasn't a calf strain or something :mjlol:

Even before the calf injury, these past few months felt like waaay too many red flags with Giannis

Any semi-contending or better team would still have to entertain a potential trade package just off principle but Jesus Christ he’s a pouty passive-aggressive baby. They used to say KD is the hired mercenary, but this feels more apt or version 2.0 because you sure as hell ain't bringing Giannis to be a leader in the locker room or consummate professional if things were to go left. Now factor in the chronic calf situation and that he typically only plays 65 games a year (just enough to qualify for awards) and yea it'll be interesting what the actual market offering will be

If you're a contender you're trading for Giannis at your own risk, dude been having soft tissue injuries every year for a minute now

As much as I like Giannis I can't feel sorry for dude in this instance (outside of this calf injury), he made the bed now he gotta lay in it. He took a hard stance against teaming up with other guys and framed it like he's too loyal to go anywhere else. Now that the Bucks are a terrible team he keeps doing this back and forth about wanting to be there or not. Now that these injuries have been ailing him the last 3-4 years he doesn't necessarily have all the suitors in the world either.
