Ppl starting to see what I say about Amen yeah he has numbers but he’s about a max player currently. If . He can be ignored on offfense. I don’t care what any basketball fan or Rockets fan says, dude is not a max player. He can’t run an offense, he can’t stop the offense from bleeding, and he lacks a bag. San Antonio did exactly what Denver did to Houston when they crushed them. They threw Jokic on him and clamped Houston. The reason we beat Denver and San Antonio was because Reed showed up and put on for the Rockets. When the opps have to actually pay attention to another scorer outside of Kd and sengun, Houston is at its best. Unfortunately Reed is consistently at that level of being that threat all game. I won’t say never because he’s still young but I don’t think Amen will ever have that respectable perimter shot that all these analysts keep saying will make him unstoppable once he develops it.

Anthony black has developed more than Amen on offense. His jumper ain’t that great either but he has more of a bag than Amen. He can get downhill more easily than Amen because he has a stronger driver/handles.

Ppl bring up the Boston game-winner to defende Amen but if you watch the play he caught Boston inthe middle of a defensive breakdown which cause Jalen Brown to get off balance. If Brown is actually able to square up properly against Amen, that’s a negative possession for Houston because Amen ain’t beating squared up solid defender like Jalen Brown off the dribble in iso for a bucket. Not in a halfcourt offense setting where the defense is

If rockets had made amen available in the deal

Does phoenix say no ? :patrice:

Phoenix asked for Amen. Rockets said no.

Amen can be successful onthe court but the lineup to the floor matter. Ime keep outing that dude out there with 1-2 other non perimeter threats. Ime is the one exposing Amen just as much as the opposing coach. Teams ain’t getting caught off guard anymore by Amen slipping under the rim wide open at the dunker spot.

Ime be putting Amen out there with Josh Okogie and DFS

I think right now he’s in that space where the idea of what Amen could be has caused people to overrate what he actually is currently :hubie:
houston needs to chill on the win now stuff. "age is not an excuse" was great because it got the dead weight guys up out of there but its perfectly fine to develop guys between playoff runs

He can't shoot threes, he can't shoot period but I think a lot of these major issues go away if they just trade for Jrue Holiday or something. They got old ass KD on the roster, what are you waiting for?

He was a soldier playing on one leg in the playoffs but it has resulted in this. He probably should have sat it down in the playoffs
he could've sat the fukk down to start the year :dead: all the talk about players being soft is one thing, but just as many other players do it to themselves

NBA so ass this year. Only 16 teams have a winning record this year. No storylines other than trade drama. Lakers and Knicks dont look to have it this year. An entire roster of All stars are hurt this year. Just a pathetic showing from the league and looks even worse coming off the new TV contract.
