What’s incredible is the consistency vs other elite players… win lose or draw, playoff or regular season, Shai almost always wins the star matchup in big games or big series

He outplayed Luka in their playoffs series 2 years back. Outplayed Jokic in last year’s series. Destroyed Ant in the WCFs. Outplayed Tatum and Brown 2x in the regular season, and now this year he’s outperformed Jokic 3 consecutive games.

Even in the losses to the Spurs, he was the best player on the floor in at least 3 of the 4 games.

If SGA wins his 2nd straight MVP (he locked that up tonight) with his 2nd straight FMVP and championship he’ll automatically be in the top 5 guards of all time.

Prob have to bump him past Dwade as well. This is the 4th straight year averaging 30 and shooting 54+% from the field. Only Jordan has done that

This nikka SGA is actually on par with Jordan…

The interesting thing is whether he’ll get the Steph treatment, who gets to be classified as a point guard despite the moniker of greatest “shooting” guard.

He’ll be in top 2-3 point guard of all time territory if he sweeps all the awards again this year.

The biggest worry for Denver is Adelman seems completely out of his depth.

Taking out both Jamal and Jokic on that last possession with no timeouts, and then proceeding not to even double Shai was bizarre to say the least. They could've easily forced a TO or a rushed shot, and his two best players wouldn't have even had a chance to get on the floor to win it.
