I'll also throw in Drew Pearson, and I hate the Cowboys.

Please stop. You are Killin me.

I'll also throw in Drew Pearson, and I hate the Cowboys.

This is how I feel:
1. Rice; the GOAT.
2. Moss
3. Murder Marv

at their peak, Randy Moss > Jerry Rice.

Stallworth
First off, calm down with the "insults." I'm sure we are both intelligent enough to disagree without insulting eachother like children. Where in the quote did Moss say he doesn't play 100%? You could interpret "I don't perform to my top ability" a lot of different ways...are you high or retarded?? randy moss said he quits... by saying i don't give 100 percent every time... what kind of question could you EVER be asked, and your reply is, "i don't play to my ability each time"
there's no context to that. i don't give a damn who's hyping you up.. those millions of dollars ain't hyping you up?? those fans paying money?? the love of the game?? representing your name on your jersey???
nah you need some extra hype... to which you admit nobody else will give you that extra hype except yourself... which you go on to say you don't even give your own self enough hype to play 100% on 100% of the downs
fukk Venem from the coli. how about you find another nfl player in history who's come out and said he doesn't give it his all? sometimes he doesn't play to his ability?? when you have better god given ability than 150% of the league. so basically he just admitted his bum years, was because of him giving up
but again fukk me..... lets go to the pros
Panthers claim Moss quit on Patriots | ProFootballTalk
“We knew he was going to shut it down,” cornerback Chris Gamble told Breer. “That’s what we wanted to do to him. That’s what we did. He’d just give up a lot. Slow down, he’s not going deep, not trying to run a route. You can tell, his body language. . . .
“I know everyone who plays against him, they can sense that. Once you get into him in the beginning of the game, he shuts it down a little bit.”
So there’s the blueprint for handling one of the best wideouts in the league.
“We know from watching film on Moss,” Gamble said, “once you get him out of the game early, he’s gonna shut it down.”
Cris Carter Says Moss Quits | PlayerPress.com - Sports Commentary, News, Rumors, Blogs, Photos, Videos by Pro Athletes and Fans
“The one thing you have to address with Randy Moss is not a conditioning thing,” Carter said, brushing aside concerns about where or not Moss can still be a legitimate vertical threat. “It’s not an age thing. It needs to be addressed. I believe it’s the elephant in the room. It’s that thing called quit.
“And Randy, not like any other superstar I’ve met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to addresses that. That’s what Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn’t going to have it.
“But Randy, when things don’t go well, like no other player I’ve ever been around or associated with, he has a quit mechanism in him that’s huge. That needs to be addressed before he signs with any team.”
How Randy Moss quitting on a play led to his release by Vikings - Shutdown Corner - NFL*Blog - Yahoo! Sports
If Randy Moss doesn't give up on this play, Brett Favre doesn't get injured. And if Brett Favre doesn't get injured, maybe the Minnesota Vikings go on to beat the New England Patriots and maybe Moss doesn't give his bizarre, postgame self-conference and maybe the Vikes are 3-4 today and thinking playoffs instead of sitting in the NFC North cellar at 2-5. And maybe Randy Moss would still have a job.
But Randy Moss did quit on the play. And on Monday, the Minnesota Vikings quit on him, making plans to cut the four-time All-Pro in a stunning move that was undoubtedly accelerated by his antics the prior evening.

After arriving to much fanfare -- literally a police escort, thanks to Al Davis' theatrical instincts -- Moss appeared to quit on the Raiders and was far from the locker room leader the 49ers are envisioning. He was last seen in Oakland having a screaming tantrum in the locker room because a columnist didn't give him proper respect.
i mean come on... dude obviously was WELL KNOWN around the league as a guy who would stop playing hard if he didn't get the ball enough early. every team he goes to, even when they do great, he starts this me me me talk and they ship him out of there. vikings, raiders, new england, now about to be sf after his comments about not wanting to be there anymore... oh and guess why?? cause he wants the ball more
i mean really.. search randy moss quit... or not play hard... find the 2390472934832 articles.. zero written by venem from the coli. but i guess that was just a conspiracy throughout the whole league to shame randy moss and spread lies

The year of that Chris Gamble shyt, it was later revealed at the end of the season that Moss had been playing the entire season with broken ribs for the Pats and he was still productive...

Also, Like I said before you can't use that Cris Carter quote to define his entire career, especially since Cris Carter only played with Moss when he was 20-24 years old, a kid... If you remember that time period, Moss played with plantar fasciitis in his foot, one of the most painful football injuries you can have and most players missed time. Moss played and was productive that entire time until he finally broke his ribs in the NFC championship game...
I like how I put a quote of Ted Bruschi, Moss' teammate, saying Moss didn't quit... You ignore it and put a Chris Gamble Quote.. Me personally, I'll take his word over the opposing team...
Moss was injured pretty much the entire time he played with the Raiders... That entire squad was trash, and he took the blame for them being trash because he was their best player... They interpret him sitting out because of injury as "giving up"... The year of that Chris Gamble shyt, it was later revealed at the end of the season that Moss had been playing the entire season with broken ribs for the Pats and he was still productive...
This is why his teammates never shyt on him, because they know the inside info, whereas Chris Gamble sees him from the outside and forms his opinion...
Find me a quote where Moss displays "Me Me Me" "talk"... Asking for more money is not "me me me" talk.... None of his coaches say he displays "Me Me Me" talk...
The Vikings didn't ship him out for any reason other than Red McCombs the former owner wanted to fukk the team over, by moving their best asset before he sold the franchise...
New England shipped him out because they didn't want to pay him and he probably requested a trade in private...
Raiders didn't even know how to use him and thought his injuries would be a chronic thing... He was overpriced to them...
Look, we're probably not gonna agree on this... I watched Moss' entire career in Minnesota because I lived there, and never thought of him as a quitter.
Definitely respect your opinion on the subject, good talk:shake:
I remember beli sonning gamble bragging about shutting moss down reminding those cats you still lost the game. Folks kill me calling duke a quitter yet I watched this dude play with ankle sprains visibly limping but still on the field being used as a decoy during the mike tice era. Mawse never cared about the media or playing up for them. He never defended himself so the talking heads just ran with it.
Stallworth?
Nah, breh.
He was the second best receiver on the team.

Will stop posting bout shyt you know nuthin about?
Your clueless.

Great analysis there G. Of course he wouldn't the game has changed, but for his time he played (to which he can't help) plus the players he played against (again to which he can not help) he was the best at what he did and history can not be re written and history says he is the best.So until Moss surpasses him, then Jerry> Randy.Rice would be a scrub in this era.
fukk outta here
Moss da gawd.

You must've never watched football in the 80's and early 90's, when you would get killed coming across the middle.
When there wasn't the 5 yard rule for DB's.
When there wasn't a such thing as a defenseless receiver.
Rice played in an era where you could actually get blindsided and still produced. WTF do you think he would do in an era when the DB's can hardly touch the receivers?

I was halfway trolling.
