Rose was the most exciting, CP3 was the most technical. Curry falls in between those and he walked out with the ring, so he would unfortunately be nominated #1. :yeshrug:

Curry is probably 1 ring away from GOAT PG conversations, he wouldn't be over Magic/Zeke yet but he would be in the conversation.

I don't know honestly it's hard to say. Rose had no help on the offensive end and was destroying people. Curry has A LOT of help but was destroying people :patrice: I didn't watch much 09 paul, I didn't get into hoops real heavy until '09

this is the correct answer
So are you just going to ignore this -

Unstoppable until the playoffs started :russ:

16.6ppg, 10.4apg 4.4apg on 41% shooting, all his numbers took a nosedive despite playing more minutes.

Billups gave him work too....

22.6ppg 7.4apg 4.0rpg on 48% shooting

On the flipside Rose & Curry either stayed consistent or improved over their regular season play.

ROSE WON 62 GAMES IN 2011
AND MADE THE ECF.

DOES HE WIN 70+ AND A CHIP WITH KLAY
INSTEAD OF KEITH BOGAWD STARTING AT THE 2?

There's a possibility. Would he have been as dominant as Curry was in the playoffs? Unlikely. I don't think '09 Paul was talented enough/mentally-able of winning a title with the 14/15 Warriors team.

I don't think Rose is in this discussion...

The numbers tell me Chris Paul makes a great case but I always remember dude being passive in the playoffs and he was not as much a scoring threat as Curry.

So it's close but I would go with Curry. He torched teams in the playoffs (besides a few blips here and there) and won the championship.
Why do dudes voting for Paul as #1 purposefully skip over this? Was Paul willing to go out there and score 30+ every game in the playoffs? :heh:

Why didn't OP post the playoffs #s as well? :jbhmm:
It creates an unnecessary extra element because Paul happened to have his worst playoff showing in 09. If I said 08 Paul it's a completely different conversation despite him being the same player from one year to the next. Kinda stupid to me:yeshrug:

ROSE AVERAGED 27, 8 & 4
CURRY AVERAGED 28 6 & 5

WHY WOULDNT ROSE HAVE BEEN EVEN BETTER WITH A PURE SCORER LIKE KLAY ON HIS TEAM?

A pure scorer like Klay? Klay was average for most of the playoffs, inconsistent as hell and unreliable during pivotal moments. Second of all, there's a HUGE difference in their shooting percentages, despite similar #s. Curry averaged one more point, despite Rose taking nearly THREE more shots. Now if your argument is that Rose had less offensive help (therefore having more defensive attention), you'd be wrong, because I can tell you right now there's virtually no difference across all their respective competition/defenses they faced and the offensive help they had. Second of all, Rose was only 22 years old and hadn't figured out when to shoot/pass in requirement to his team's offense to the level that a 27-year-old Curry did. Curry not only faced better defenses, but also had better individual performances across his playoffs run to boot.

'11 Rose really doesn't have any argument over him, at all. :manny:

Unnecessary element? :dahell:

We just saw arguably the greatest playoffs performance from a PG since Magic, and you deem that an unnecessary extra element all because one of them performed badly during that postseason?

nikka allowed his team to lose by 60 at home to a melo-led team:scust:

That's an automatic disqualification.
