Yea breh, I've said it before subscription stuff is the future and it's the worst thing possible for consumers. Luckily being in the digital age there are some people who have come up with cracks and stuff so we can work around a lot of these bs scrips. But some of them you just have to get.
Its getting harder and harder to get cracks :francis:

Good point with office 365 and google docs but other than that what other basic service would make business sense to be a one time payment?

Well first, I don’t think one-time payment is going to work for streaming media as you’re essentially paying for ongoing access to newly released products like music, television episodes and movies. They keep incurring new costs for the same access, so we will too.

But looking ahead, If they start trying to push car features like GPS, Push to start and heated seats as subscription based services, I’d be pretty confident that some car makers (likely non-luxury automakers) will market paying a one-time fee for these services up front. Either that or they’ll partner with services outside the car that consumers are already paying for and allow seamless integration… see Apple Carplay. And I’d bet that some people would avoid those cars with subscription services the same way some people don’t get luxury vehicles due to the cost of maintenance.

It’s free cause they get to sell your info to advertisers. You have to create a gmail account to use google docs. Google makes billions from ads so giving you a free valuable service or irresistible offer is a way to get you in their front end funnel.

I still know giant companies who use it as their everyday spreadsheet or word processor. It saves millions probably in buying company wide Licenses to MS Office

The subscription shyt actually more fiscally logical

In comparison to the old method

*Having a cable package and forced to sign a 3 year contract

Buying albums on cds and spending like $300 or more a year on music, like I did before music on the net
--and now I literally would rather have YT music and get YT red included and not have to search for free music online like I use too

Amazon Prime u get ya packages same day and get a whole streaming service
Etc.
