Nobody is selling drugs because their favorite rapper does it. They do it because they're environment doesn't offer much else.
Haven't read the whole thread yet so somebody else may have already posted this clip, but here's a young brother (son of extremely successful parents) telling you out of his own mouth how much rap music influenced him to live a criminal lifestyle despite being the son of millionaires:

After you watch this clip, youll no longer be able to say that nobody is mimicking the a certain lifestyle because of rap

No, I think it creates a culture that enables and coddles those who do commit crime, which is just as damaging.

Example - See the No Snitch" movement

Nobody is saying that music is the sole reason for crime :gucci:

However, there's no denying that it could be a contributing factor. Everything that you consume on a regular basis is bound to impact the way you view the world and your place in it.

This is the goofy thing y’all do that is full of shyt.

Y’all make thread after thread, day after day, hour after hour, about this very topic. Just nonstop, not letting this topic breath. Searching and seeking out shyt that fits the narrative you wanna highlight. You goofy nikkas sit around in a circle and do this EVERY SINGLE DAY. Then when people bring up the fact that music isnt the reason for crime in society, y’all always do that silly ass, “But I didn’t say it was the SOLE reason” But nikka y’all acting like it. Yall some obtuse ass mothafukkas, then got the nerve to call other people obtuse when you trying to shame them for not denouncing rap music.

If y’all truly cared about the community, first of all, y’all wouldn’t be on the mothafukking internet all day crying about rap music. And second, if y’all was on the internet all day, the time would be spent focused on the real leading factors of crime in the community. But rap music is so easily to latch onto, and a lot of you nikkas are simple minded as fukk

I listen to NBA Young Boy from the moment I wake up till the time I go to sleep and I ain't caught a body....

Yet 😈😈😈

Typical Coli nikka:

Well I’m not saying that rap is the ONLY cause for crime. And you listen to to NBA YoungBoy! Come in here y’all and shame this man! He’s part of the problem. That’s why I’m on a hip hop site talking down on you and anyone else who enjoys rap cause I care about the community sooooo much. These actions will surely improve the community. Now I can go to sleep and feel well, since I’ve been an internet warrior advocating against these horrible rappers. Tomorrow, I will log right back on a hip hop site, you know, the music that’s destroying the community, and I will tell people how I’m more righteous than them.

How is it that the youth before this current generation knew the difference between bullshyt and real life?

Maybe some of the current youth are just retarded. Did you ever stop and consider that?
We didn't. Don't forget we at first believed rappers who were fooling people on MTV cribs about homes they claimed they owned but was being rented for a day. I remember the days when shoes were treated as prized possesions and it was grounds for a fight if someone either stepped on scuffed them. That doesn't include people who got killed over 8-ball jackets and Jordans. The only difference between todays youth (the knucklehead ones) is they record it. Last, we can't forget all the crunk music in clubs that caused fights.

Breh I’m here to make sure balance is restored around here. No doubt music has negative influence. You got countless examples of people telling you as much. But that don’t mean that it’s nowhere near a leading factor as plenty of posters on here like to make it seem. That’s where the issue lies. They wanna blame rap music for every ill in the black community. I actually been in the streets for real. The influence came from my family, not rap lol. And them nikkas was in the streets before rap was invented
This is what the internet don’t get. Anybody that really came from the field know you don’t need no damn rapper to influence you. Your influences are right there in your face in real life.

Yes, because the average person who listen to a Chief Keef song will go and murder you. That’s definitely true

Bruh most people are impressionable, their environment definitely molds the type of person they become. It ain't even about going all the way to murder. If you grow up under the influence that selling drugs, having guns, robbing folks, etc....is an acceptable option in life then when put into a situation where you could make that choice you are less likely to be adverse to it.

What sucks is you really can't even avoid that shyt as a black youth. If you want to go party and dance, unless you throw your own party, you are forced to hear that garbage and engage with the people swimming in that life.
