It's cool to make that music, til you or someone you/we all know is affected by it.
Why not get to the root of the problem and say just stop rapping bout that ish period?
It's a wise argument. But nothing is off limits in life. People think there are limits. But nothing is off limits.
But then again its a matter of one's scope. You wouldn't tell a director to not have a rape scene in their movie, or a murder scene, or shooting scene, or a scene where a person is beat to death with their bare hands or a sex scene. Some people are wholly against that shyt and wouldn't watch, some people wouldn't watch if it's just gore and grotesque, others would watch if it's done with as much care and taste as possible. Some even ask, how do you do it right? Do you cutaway to the curtain flapping in the window? Does she keep her shirt on? If it's murder, do they show blood or not show blood? So the victims eyes or not? Maybe they don't show anything that happens to the body but just a blood splatter.
How do you do any of these subjects appropriately? How are they done inappropriately?
Nothing is off limits, we may choose to not listen or watch, but theres no unspoken rule or list of thing we cannot or should not rap about, joke about, make movies about or show in movies.
