Is weak as hell. Kinda funny too.

:dame: A MAN who raps about being a gangsta paying other MEN not to allow that MAN to get exposed as a mark. But in effect, that MAN is still a mark if he has to pay not to get treated like a p*ssy by other MEN.

Do labels set aside an extortion budget for when rappers have to pay hood taxes? If you were a famous rapper, would you be cutting those checks on the low?

When Ruthless Records recording artist and former N.W.A member Dr. Dre sought to work instead with Death Row Records, Ruthless Records executives, Mike Klein and Jerry Heller were fearful of possible physical intimidation from Death Row Entertainment executives including chief executive officer Suge Knight and requested security assistance from the violent JDL.[32] The FBI launched a money laundering investigation, on the presumption that the JDL was extorting money from Ruthless Records and several rap artists, including Tupac Shakur and Eazy-E.[33] Heller has speculated that the FBI did not investigate these threats because of the song "fukk Tha Police". Heller said, "It was no secret that in the aftermath of the Suge Knight shake down incident where Eazy was forced to sign over Dr. Dre, Michel'le and The D.O.C., that Ruthless was protected by Israeli trained/connected security forces."[34] The FBI documents refer to the JDL death threats and extortion scheme but do not make a direct connection between the group and the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur.

They don't call it protection. These days they call em shooters. Every major gangster in history had protection meaning shooters . Nothing wrong with that. They shoot so I don't have to and I can keep on making money
Unless them nikkas snitch.

It's one thing if your close homie/ cat you really tight with is holding you down in the streets and you throw him a little something here and there.

It's another thing to pay nikkaz who wouldn't fukk with you otherwise and probably would chump you their damn selves if they wasn't on the payroll (what up Tyga and Chris Brown)

What I don't understand is how rappers who ain't from LA come to LA and associate themselves with Blood's or Crips for protection/street cred. If you're an LA native okay I get it for your first couple years with the whole loyalty shyt but if you came modesty/poverty elsewhere you supposed to go to Cali to escape the hood not bring the hood in your 5 million dollar house.

But coming where I'm from, if I'm back home, I may or may have a bodyguard depending on what I'm doing/time of day. nikkas don't let you have anything unless you handing out. That Cleanthony Early story shows you can't enjoy yourself in your own hometown.

When you associate yourself with those type of people it's bound to bite you on the ass in the end. They don't try that nonsense with pop musicians.
ThIs shyt is true also
