You write hooks then you are valuable and you will be used and abused in music if your career isn't taking off

yoo... we need proof here of blacklisted. because there is a difference between getting boxed out verus falling off, or versus just kicking back and collecting passive income.

Im pretty sure Rotem gets a cut of everything Jason DeRulo does. Rotem's from Miami. If thats really the case and I were him I wouldn't be playing the industry game anymore, just parlaying in Miami on the beach, collecting checks, and making beats at home because I like to do it

Polow I thought mentors younger producers now. He was getting a cut of Hit-Boy for a while too, not sure about anymore.

I think everyone mentioned in this thread right now ISN't hurting

btw

No wifin' in the club :stopitslime:
Gimmie $20 :russ:

exactly....WAAYYYY TOO MUCH FALSE SPECULATING going on this thread

just because u don't visually see an artist as much as you did in the past, don't neccesarily mean they been blackballed out the game

this industry is based on supply and demand ...if it's no demand for that artist and his services than your likely not to see them

also alot of artists find other avenues to pursue even when they were on top of thier game...taking on behind the scene positions or other career fields..

and for the record i can't singlehandedly name ONE BLACK ARTIST OR BLACK MOGUL that can have somebody blackballed from the music industry

not 50 cent...not Jay-z....neither Puffy as artists/moguls are capable of doing that..cause they are NOT the gatekeepers of this industry

hell not even the career moguls such as SYLVIA RHONE , LA REID , STEVE STOUTE or any black music exec for that matter has that power

now if we talking DOUG MORRIS...IRVING AZOFF or LYOR COHEN......then that's a whole nutha story :whew:

and alot of times...these artists CLAIMING to be blackballed are only saying that to provide an excuse as to why thier MUSIC isn't relevant anymore....

for example OMARION once he left B2K and was "struggling" in his solo career was trying to justify his lack of success due to the fact that he was being "blackballed" because he didn't subscribe to the "illuminati movement" ... :snoop:

but that mofo changed his perspective once he got that MMG stimulus package and was able to get a hit record and you ain't heard him complaining since :mjpls:

these fools remind me of the statement the "militant" made in the Movie "IM GONNA GIT YOU SUCKER"

Commenting on the disenfranchised brothers who felt blackballed by society and once was in the movement but now have left..

"the brothers came in with GUNS and left with GOVERNMENT JOBS...now the brothers ain't mad anymore" :russ:

basically:

once a mofo starts EATING AGAIN.....blackballing is a MYTH in his mind... :manny:

damn yeah I forgot he was working with A-trak and touring and shyt. good for him. still getting it. southside is bigger than ever to some degree with that 808 mafia shyt and I always wondered why Lex wasn't involved. lex had 2010-2011 in the cobra clutch
he working with juicy j again for rubbaband business 3, produced bake sale for wiz, produced kanye's new song champions and is going to drop low pros 2 with a-trak soon
