The last two projects solo projects Eazy-E released while he was alive (5150 Home 4 Tha Sick EP, It's On EP) went gold and double platinum respectively, not to mention MC Ren had platinum and Gold albums after Dre left & before Eazy died, and Eazy helped Bone Thugs go double platinum with their first EP and was putting together their LP before he died. In no way, shape, or form was Eazy-E blackballed.

:myman:

It's On actually went double platinum not to mention Above The Law's album going platinum around the time.

He had to leave Priority for Relativity after 5150: Home 4 Tha Sick because Bryan Turner, Priority & Jimmy Iovine saw that Eazy knew the independent game and they got Cube & Dre away from him. It's plenty of threads about the whole situation. And he was under serious pressure when he died. Reading his FBI files is like some crazy movie and a must read.

Federal Bureau of Investigation – Eazy-E's FBI File (Excerpt) | Genius
"A document that summarizes the tangled case of Eazy E’s last days and the chaos that followed. A last-minute marriage, a stolen titanium briefcase, death threats, mysterious Canadians – a spy novel comes to life in these pages."

Eazy going against Bryan Turner and Jimmy Iovine closed lots of doors and Bone was successful in spite of it. But even they have spoken about how they still got blocked and denied different stuff.

RA The Rugged Man been blackballed from the industry for some of his antics back in the day.

Vinnie Paz been blackballed for his political music, including shyt that might get him labelled "anti-semite". Vlad won't have him on for the same reason, even tho Jamar says Paz on his top 5 white rappers list.

Professor Griff got kicked out of Public Enemy, again over so-called "anti-semitism" and exposing the system.

DJ Vlad got Tone Trump banned from the Universal Music building. You can read more about it here.

There was definitely some backstage politics going on against murder inc during the fifty beef. Some of it was stuff like being turned away from award shows because of Jimmy iovine's influence, but other actions were more covert yet still visible if one really looked at how Murder Inc's side of the story was being treated by third parties who had conflicting relationships/intreset.

For example, when MTV was doing their special on the beef, I noticed that they refused to verify the authenticity of the paper work depicting 50 cent as a snitch which is something they could have easily done since they had the paper work on hand(they displayed a blurred image of it in the special). Yet, when 50 told his story about robbing Ja when they scuffled in ATL, MTV just went along and acted as if 50 cent's retelling of events were factual. They even took something Ja said out of context in a XXL magazine(Jimmy Iovine's propaganda machine at the time) to bolster 50 cent's portrayal of events.

If Eazy-E was "blackballed", whoever did so did a shytty fukking job of it. If Eazy was blackballed, he wouldn't a) be going double platinum, b) be given the time of day to promote Bone Thugs, ATL, etc., and c) he sure as hell wouldn't be allowed on Arsenio Hall calling Dre a studio gangsta, exposing the fact he still makes money off of Dr Dre, calling him a cross-dresser, performing "Real Motherfukking G's", and showing a picture of Dre with the Wreckin' Cru.

Also, Ruthless left Priority, not the other way around.

Dude was nice wit it. Had a hot album out wit ja rule, Jay z, DMX, puffy, Monica, Kelly price. production from Irv and Pete Rock.

Then nuthin. No more singles, albums mixtapes. Labels wldnt touch em. U don't vanish like that unless u bein blackballed in da industry. Wacker rappers have been given more chances.

he had a second album. It flopped and they shelved him.

Yeah he left because of the Death Row situation. Blackballed doesn't mean every door is shut. Just that one person/group/label goes out their way to shut down avenues. Puffy & Jimmy Iovine are notorious for doing it.

If someone is blackballed, they wouldn't be on TV regularly, selling millions of records, able to break new acts, etc.

Didnt 50 have a bidding war before signing with aftermath :what:

50 was beefing with damn near everybody in ny including preme labels were more likely scared & turned off before he dropped those mixtapes & got the em cosign that nikka wasn't blackballed :stopitslime:

All that blackballed talk is all apart his image & storyline he wanted to present
