What did Truman or Eisenhower do to place them above Obama?

Not saying they deserve to be over Obama but they presided over stronger economies in terms of working for average working more than Obama. The post-WW2 New Deal keynesian economy was humming so they didn’t have to do much.

Obama came into office at what should’ve been the twilight of Reaganism and he failed to implement a paradigm shift when the opportunity was there for him, then we got Donald Trump in the wake of that failure. That’s why I can’t give him more than a 4.

Truman set that off with the Marshall Act, the Fair Deal, building ton of housing... Plus his record on civil rights was admirable. Eisenhower continued where Truman left off.

Obama should've done more when he had the Senate, but it's not really fair to blame him for Trump.

Trump's rise mostly just amounts to racist backlash against a black president, there's little he could have done about that.

I gave him an 8/10. He was able to accomplish quite a bit in 2 years. The other 6 was damn near done without Congress. Its hard not to look at his accomplishments through a racial lens because that's why the majority of the obstruction occurred. His presidency definitely pushed progressivism forward. Imagine talking about and receiving overwhelming support of the agendas today without Obama having been president. Not happening.

He's definitely top 5 presidents. Had he been white or had no obstructionism , he'd been top 2.

Nah. If Obama struck while the iron was hot and had both houses of Congress and a 70% approval rating, and implemented an adequate stimulus, single player, canceled student debt, bailed out homeowners instead of banks, and prosecuted Wall Street criminals, no way in hell Trump sniffs the presidency, racism or not and Dems would’ve been untouchable for a couple of presidential cycles.
