. Other than that it’s desolate, the city officials did a TERRIBLE job of building it up. It could’ve been the Vegas of the north east but corruption and other bs did them in
It used to be packed on the boardwalk. It's over ran with Crackheads and poverty. AC had a brand new modern state of the art casino called the Revel. It closed immediately after grand opening then reopened again and closing again wtf. Taj back in the day was OK and the 40/40 was iight but ain't nothing in AC worth writing home about. It's sad because what other gambling town got beaches?Atlantic City is ok - haven't been in a long time. Last time I went, had a nice time. My friends took me on a spontaneous trip after my baby shower. Boardwalk was quiet, not too crowded at night. I'm giving it a 7. The series, Boardwalk Empire was produced about the town.

This. AC was great back in the day. In the 80s and 90s, my grandmother and her friends used to go down there every couple weekends from NYC. But with casinos opening in Penn, Maryland, NYC, Westchester county NY, & Connecticut in recent times, it just didn't make sense going all the way to AC. Last time I went was in 2015 and the only saving grace was that it was summer.People are saying Sandy, but the real death of AC was when they opening casinos in Pennsylvania. AC even 10 years ago was a lot of fun clubbing and the casinos there were still thriving because it was the only place to gamble outside of indian casinos in upstate NY.
I still have some good memories there, but like people saying its a dump outside of the boardwalk properties and Borgata.. In 2009 Id give it an 8, in 2019 Ill give it a 4
