LA is GOAT level and one of the greatest cities in the world. Not even arguable...

Not having a large proportion of black people is a drawback, but you have to consider that South Central is still 28% black (Westside South Central is still 38% black), and the adjacent South Bay cities surrounding South Central are all in that same range of blackness (20-40%). The idea that ain't no blacks in LA is unfounded because you can go places in South LA and surroundings and see tons of black people...

It's just a negative there aren't many blacks in the rest of the city...

And as others mentioned, the traffic is a drawback. All major cities have large homeless populations...

LA at the very least is an 8.5, but it's somewhat home for me. Everytime I step off at LAX, i feel like I'm coming home...

I'd give it a 9-9.5 and there is no city anywhere I'd choose to live in over LA if I had all the set up and circumstances I needed. Will be back in Jan/Feb and long term play is to at least partially raise my daughter's there, ain't no other place anywhere like Los Angeles, truly a 1 of 1...

Loved the weather and overall vibe. Mountains, beach, snow, desert etc Big city but chill vibe. Love the layout and sections especially playing gta is coo

Food is phenomenal, women of course, nightlife and the hustle of it all (sink or swim mentality). I liked the fact that wide eyed folks come from all over and la chews them up and spits them out it’s a gritty feel for that

Double edge sword is that it’s so transient not many folks are really from there i like cities where generations are there. Also the fakenesa and facade of people fronting there and of course traffic

Way more fronting and pretentiousness in Atlanta than LA, by a wiiiiddddeeee margin!

In LA there are so many sub cultures to front with

Acting/production - bunch of fronting “actors/actresses” filmmakers , writers , directors etc

Music - la is a bigger music hub fronting a&rs, artists , labels , etc

Gangbanging - fronting gangbangers

Surfers- fronting surfers

Weed culture - fake growers -investors etc

Skateboards

Etc etc

Atlanta is more music and sports .... La the fronting crosses more social economic and race barriers

I been to that city 5 times in the last 4 years..

Too much shyt to do, but the traffic makes it hard to do it all, so you have to keep visiting..

I remember the girl at the hertz at LAX, asking why i wanted to visit LA because it was boring..

I took off a point, strangely enough, for good weather all year 'round

My lady is from New England and she hated nice weather year round. I thought the chick was touched in the head.

We got back to the Tri State and felt that bomb cyclone last year and her ass changed up with the quickness.

California is where I will retire. Can't get any better.

Born in Atl, raised in Birmingham moved to la 3 months ago (now in Anaheim) I fukking love it here the women, weed, weather it’s just expensive traffic is trash and all the homeless people but it’s not the only city in ca with all those so I give it a ten. I’m biased coming from a state that’s last in almost everything but it’s dope as fukk out here. My only real big issue is there’s hardly no black people here compared to Birmingham. It’s mostly Asian and Hispanic but its always love when I see another black person, we go out our way to acknowledge each other 10/10 nowhere I can see myself living but the lack of black people fukking sucks

When I was in the Bay for years, I had to leave to get a melanin recharge every season. Mardi Gras, Battle of the Bands in ATL, Magic City Classic.... This thing called the Footwash in backwoods Alabama. NYC. It's a good balance. I see why those hippies hug trees. The mountains and ocean speak to you.
