That's exactly what I'm saying. She's other worldly when it comes to performing but she doesn't have the catalog of songs to match her talent.

Janet overachieved. An elite performer who is still selling out shows to this day despite being vocally challenged. Her catalog of music is timeless. Certified classics.

It's the opposite actually. Besides Rihanna, Adele and Ariana, Beyonce has the weakest music IMO.

Entertainment value and dance ability, visuals - strong 8. She got a little too pop-ish for me. 7.5. My mom loved her, so that’s an extra point. I would definitely put Janet >>>Beyoncé

Beyonces performance don't lack compared to Janet, as much as Janets vocals lack in comparison to Beyonce. But this is about vocals really,and Janets voice was butter




Could she sing a ballad or gospel?no but I think she showed a wide variety of styles of music she could do with her vocals much like her brother who's later music I don't particularly like. But he proved he could practically make his voice into another instrument you could implement into many styles.

Beyonce' is a decent performer, but she's a vocal powerhouse. Janet is a decent singer, but a great dancer. Beyonce' performances never really did it for me, basic moves, a little ass shaking here and there. Her production is more so the show rather than her actual performance

Gave her a 7 tho becuz her career was mad inconsistent. Good singles but not too many good albums. The Anytime Any Place R Kelly remix is one of the goat slow jams tho

Janet is unsung when it comes to her harmonies and melodies; particularly when arranging her background vocals. She was the originator of those complex bg vocals until brandy came and crushed the buildings.

Janet has a masterful ear despite her lacking vocals.

This is true and I might change my vote to a 7 because of it. She knows how to pick a song and work with what she has.
