A very good singer when she stays in her small pocket, once she steps outside she sounds horrible. She had a solid run but fell off when her and swizz started making music together.

I'm torn but I ultimately gave her a 6. As a pure vocalist, she is above average, but as an artist, she makes it up with her songwriting, piano playing and overall artistry.

Not to turn this into another Beyonce shyt fest,but Alicia had to fall for Beyonce to rise. Artistically it was a known fact that Alicia had her foot on Beyonces neck. She was a pure talent who the critics and the people loved. You hear Alicias music then here comes Beyonce with a bullshyt record like "Naughty Girl".

She made Beyonce look like Brittney Spears,it was only recently that people started talking about her as if she is a serious artist in the same breath with real artistic legends. Had to get Alicia out the way for that to happen.

You're saying most talented just because she can play piano. Which is cool. But nobody here is really vouching for her vocals like that.

Sidenote: I also finally figured out why people dont like Beyonce's music from these threads. I think people only listen to her singles. She makes R&B but all anyone mentions is how pop her singles are. Oh well.
