Strong pipes, limited range, shallow catalogue, subject matter all seems to sound the same (in fairness I've never bothered to investigate her in depth)...but I can't front on that voice.

I think at her best (late 90's-early 2000's) she was probably one of the most talented singers in her age range, but she never really ventured out of boiler plate R&B and Gospel. Even so she was a power singer and her ability to emote was 2nd to few. She could flat out sang. I think she's an 8/10.

Can sing but career been meh. Woulda gave her a 5 but she has the classic Friend of Mine remix under her belt. 6
Without considering her acknowledgements as an artist. Just based on her live performance with gospel.... she has the emotion and can evoke the spirit. That’s a 10. But as far as vocal ability in itself, she’s an 8.
