Badu has quality songs. Next Lifetime/Other side of the game are seriously some of the best songs I've ever heard.

Right, she can sing her ass off. Not everyone can do that extra high Mariah/Minnie Riperton vocal. There are different textures to choices that should be respected.
8, for the fact that she basically mothered the neo-soul movement. Still one of the most unique voices in the game, was one of the seminal black artists of the late 90's and carried the torch of ultra-black R&B.
