There can only be one champion. If Boston has five HOF players and Philly has just two, especially if Bill is a top 3 player, Cousy is a top 5 player as well as Hondo, Boston is likely going the win more times then not. It's like Bron in Cleveland and let's say you put a dream team in NY and had CP3, D12, Horf, and Durant. Would you take away from Bron that he couldn't beat them even if he might be better than all of them?

It's not about if a person like me would hold it against him it's about if the media would or wouldn't. With Wilt putting up video game numbers I am sure the media back then expected him to singlehandedly win titles alone. They probably never took into account the stacked teams he was playing against. It's all about the media's perception of you in my eyes. Just like Jordan is universally considered the best and if you didn't know any better you would think he played 6 years and won 6 years. But the never talk about the times he lost to great teams like the Celtics and Pistons over the years. Plus in the end they will always hold a losing finals record over a great player even if he faced some great teams in the finals. If Bron would have fell to 1-3 in the finals instead of 2-2 they would have been looking at him as a loser and not having lost to the better team which the Spurs were for most of the series.

I've always said, in the NBA, the best team will usually win unless the best player is just that much better.

The Bulls during their title years were ALWAYS the best team in the Finals.

The Heat was the best two for the first two appearances. Lost one and won one. The last one v. the Spurs, San Antonio was the best team but Miami had the ball bounce in their favor a couple of times and Lebron was :lupe: level.

It's not fair to completely judge individual in a team sport for their team championship success. Wilt did a lot for his team but maybe he wasn't quite the team player Bill was, that doesn't change the fact that he wasn't superhuman and an amazing player. Just because Dan Marino doesn't have a ring will make me think Eli Manning is a much better player even if close to Marino.

Tell me EXACTLY which seasons you have a problem with and I'll give you the context your probably unaware of. Context disappears after 50 years and it's easy to assume "well he had ____ so he should have won" but I'm tellin ya after researching his seasons it wasn't that simple. Just assuming he's "surrounded" like everything was on a silver platter for him isn't true. Certain seasons he played, even if the roster looked good at the beginning of the season, did not pan out due to injury/age/etc. And you also need to know the depth of the teams he was facing. Like I said only once or twice were the odds in Wilt's teams favor that Wilt could have won but did not.

You do realize that you are talking to a person who rates Wilt higher than most I hope. When you are the biggest and best you are held up to a different standard than most. Right or wrong Wilt had the talent and the numbers to suggest that he should have won more titles. Injuries or not a person sees him and a Jerry West matched up and assume that they should won a title every year. But they don't take into account that he faced a great Celtics team and two great Knicks team. Just look at Shaq. He won 4 titles people still say he didn't win enough. So just imagine the criticism Wilt took for going 2-4 in the finals. No matter the situations perception usually triumphs reality most times.

If you don't shut your delusional ass up nikka. You sound retarded and as much as you my nikka and my dawg, I do have to call out my nikkas for BS at times and what you are doing is BS. Stop it breh. You doing too much and you don't even know what you are talking about.

:russ: It wasnt like he was doing all these feats among elite thoroughbreds. We have different techniques for physical conditioning, diet, dribbling and shooting that make todays superstars Gods compared to that trash in the 60's. Please knock it off and quit.

Bill Russel is overrated as fukk. You clowns bringing him up as an example of stellar athletics is disgusting. You cant use a clown who had shytty offensive to big up wilt. If Bill was around today hed be no better than Rodman but back then, among genetic nobodies he was a God. :skip: Basketball as a game was still in its infancy. They didnt do then what we do today, which is BETTER!

Wilt was a fukkin Giant among ants genetically. Them cacs in the 50s' and 60s were NOT getting rebounds on wilt because he was towering over everyone and had better genes. Today, hed proably put up 30 points. :skip:
